Didn't mention when he decided to put it up for auction in the story I read. So I'll take your word for it.
It isn’t my word. It was in the report in the local paper of where the auction is taking place. He paid £9,000 for it and was expecting to make £15-20,000. Which wouldn’t have been a great investment as his £9,000 is equivalent yo about£20,000 in today’s money. In fact is says he put it up for the November auction last year.
Yes I know all the rest. It was in the story I read. The date it was put up I will have to take your word for because I haven't seen a source to confirm it and I'm not bothered enough to search for it.

Two things come to mind today. 1. That expression 'wake up and smell the coffee'. Don't know why but I hate it, sounds really condescending to me. 2. Hotels that ask you to reuse towels, no problem with that, but don't provide enough rails in the bathroom to hang them on. Off to check my bp now...
And 'Can you see yourself living here?', especially before they've been inside, and 'Having a G & T of an evening'.
People that sit around you at the game who talk about anything and everything but the game. And worse when they think they’re experts in everything too. Oh and people on the row in front that always leave early at half time and come back late second half. I know the queuing ain’t great getting served but surely you attended to actually watch the match and not spend 10 minutes on the concourse for a dodgy burger.
