British music legend Paul Weller is set for a headline gig on the North Yorkshire coast next summer. The iconic singer-songwriter will perform a selection of tunes from his career-spanning repertoire at Scarborough Open Air Theatre (OAT) on Sunday ,July 7. Weller - known as The Modfather - will be joined by his own live band and special guests Stone Foundation at the 8,000-capacity venue.
I see it was Joni Mitchell's 80th birthday a few days ago, one of my all-time favourite singers, often listen to her music.

Went to Wrecking Ball last night for the launch of Derek Forbes autobiography (bassist for Simple Minds, but also played with Bowie, Kirsty MacColl on New England and loads more) What a thoroughly nice chap...who has lived a bit (!) but is still really down to earth.
