you've clearly missed the most important part of the criteria then trent has given up tackling cos he's too busy pouncing about like a superstar whi h is entirely different to a wee little 20 year old who just can't.
and again you just keep adding **** stuff to your "criteria" so i will repeat my comment met the terms of the stated criteria .
Clearly trent at 25 with 200 games under his belt cannot be considered a kid However a little man child kid Elliott who's played 50 times for us and is 20 might kindly regarded as a kid and not another flop Perhaps if you add his Blackburn loanee games plus a few more appearances we can say 100 pro games makes him a senior player and as such it's open season for me to call him anything I like?
He's played in 83% of our league games this season; that's not a bit part player, he's very much a regular in the squad and contributor to match days. He's not a "kid" other than in age. You just don't like him
he's still not played 100 games so I'm being kind to the little squirt. if he was a senior player obviously I'd be far harsher on him
considering the threat Brentford offer i think that was a very good win . Just need to have this standard in the away games .
the crowd really got going off tierney's antics and he won us the game. I felt the goals were coming even before the second was ruled out.
Yeah we were causing them real problems and seemed to be enjoying the game, rather than playing tense after a bad week
Yeah thought yesterday was a good win against stubborn opposition. Luckily Trent wasn't tested as much as vs Luton so we had more control. But that's (part of} the problem in away games as teams are more likely to go for him in our away games.
the crowd really helped as did nunez haring about and shooting everything, a good tempo and the players were lifted as the fans were on the ref not them.
Nunez has a very accurate shot (from distance anyway ), don't mind a few more of those stingers being hit as it's causing goalkeepers issues
Shame it wasn't 5-0 and Chelsea let in 4. Great win. Players looking like they wanted it more. Tsimikas put in a very good shift, excellent assist for the goal.
in fairness there are far harder and busier tests for these guys. Yes vvd did what he had to do well. thats all he can do. Yes tsimikas did most things pretty well, again all he can do. Does that infer that when the game is v city they won't be cut open? no IMO they still have work to do. it might be said that aside from a few dodgy clearances trent also did well defensively on several breaks but again does that mean he will have it easy v city? absolutely not.
We should be pleased that the team upped their game but none of it means anything in relation to the next game. When we get some momentum going, then we can expect to string similar performances together. We get all players back fit, we'll give city a game, we always do.
toulouse and Luton are certainly not at Brentford level and yes momentum is crucial. imo we start from zero after this last international break and go on a run of games. there are 9 games between now and christmas or in other words 9 games in 30 days. they start with man city and end with arsenal.
