Great post mate. Once Alese is back i cant even see Triantis getting on the bench and a loan move will do him the world of good in Jan in League 1 or 2.

This is a good shout getting Triantis out on loan. I could also see Hemir going out once he gets up to speed on his time keeping and overall professionalism. If we were to bring in a top quality midfielder I could see Matete also going out.

Triantis would be a good laon shout in l1 I think. Needs to learn the pace of the game and his awareness. I would be tempted to keep Hemir here and work on him in training. For him it is about intensity and putting himself about a bit more. I bet he will finish chances, but he needs to learn to want it a bit more I think. Rus shows the way on that front.

I didnt realise Hemir had time keeping issues. Thats not a good sign then, and a loan to League 1 to someone like Blackpool will give him a huge reality check.
He obviously thinks hes better than he is coming from a club the size of Benfica

Think Mowbray mentioned something about Hemir being last one out to start training because he's doing his boots up late or something like that. Don't think he is late to training, just a bit lax on some things by thw sounds of it.

It will not happen but just imagine if we put Rusyn out on loan at the same time as he’s learning to speak English.

if he went to Birmingham would he come back with a Brummie accent.

    “Yow, pass to me”

Almost as if the club has a plan <laugh>

I've not heard Gooch mentioned much recently or Stewart come to that. Only two teams have scored more goals, this season, and our strikers are yet to fire, but I'm sure they will.

The way things are going we'll end up with the strongest bench in the Championship for the second half of the season ...

... and we didn't do too bad last season when the team became gradually weaker.

It must be some scary sh*t being a young foreign kid going to the NE knowing 40,000 are expecting you to replace a star striker.

Lots of behind the scenes stuff for these young lads to contend with. Things we take for granted most of time will be a struggle for them until they settle.

Just watched the highlights on ITV4 and they were all decent strikes. I think Rusyn is fast becoming my favourite striker since Phillips. His movement off the ball is something else and he was seriously unlucky not to open his account yesterday. Can't wait to see the first one hit the back of the net

I think Rusyn is going to be an absolute star for us.

He’s busy, nice touch, he looks desperate to do well once he gets in the groove he will be a real player the lad.

With the four new strikers now all fit Rus and Mayenda should start games from what we saw yesterday, with Hemir and Burstow warming the bench, and our striker problem will be solved. Assuming Roberts and Clarke are fixtures the question now is where do we play Neil, Ekwah, Ba ,Adil ,Jobe, Rigg, Pritch and Dack What an abundance of talent we have. One thing for sure Its never been more exciting in living memory supporting this particular "Tteam of all Talents". OaU.

I'd agree with all your Sunderland related comments apart from that tbh. Birmingham were the only 'attritional' side yesterday. ...

... wasting time at every opportunity, happily hacking our players down and constantly complaining to the referee.

Against that kind of team you'll always have to battle but we played some lovely football, scored three and were much the better side overall.

Almost all of 09's best games for us have been as a CB. With Sanderson in League One to start with and with a few others since.

He's a decent right back and with a goal threat, but when there have been choices, as there are currently, and for three managers now, he gets picked as a CB.

He's out for a card count, not bad form, so IMO he should play next game. The other lads will either keep him sharp or oust him, as it should be.

But anyway, that's why we have a manager! He gets most of it right, and sees a lot more than any of us.

I might say mind, that both of those new lads did pretty well yesterday and I doubt they'll let us down as and when.

Fair enough mate. Attritional maybe not the best word. I just thought at times we had to dig in and try to front up to Brums high energy 1v1 style. I was pleased to see us doing it as well. Teams will want to take the space away and some of their players got that right yesterday. We just kept at it though and when it wasnt working for Ekwah or Neil they still put a right shift in and tried to win tackles and battles. Humes yellow was an example of my point, I have no doubt he thought he was going to leave something on Bacuna and I applauded him for it. Clarke was out of the game first 50 mins or so but again he kept going and eventually just tore them to bits. I was pleased to see how they did it all, some of the darker arts, the young lads are learning a bit of that.

He is sounding more mature now isnt he. His play is maturing all the time and as a man he seems to be maturing too.

I thought he was below the standards of this season yesterday personally. Maybe his worst game this season. Never shirked anything though which is a good sign, no player can be good all the time I suppose. Maybe the captaincy weighed in him a bit? Must have been a massive day for him. The bugger is living my dreams, hope he keeps improving and if he becomes a full time captain it would be great for everyone.
