Think we proved a point here, even if we didn't get one ;) we can live with the best teams in the league, and can beat the lessor ones, so whilst losing is a gutter especially coming from a simple defensive error shows how far we have come, fancy feeling gutted that we didn't get at least a point out of the game.

Good luck for the season utd fans <ok> see you soon!

Thanks. If Sinclair would have scored that chance, then who knows what would have happened in terms of the outcome of the match. Good luck for the season ahead.

    We'd have scored another one.

We played well within ourselves and it was disappopinting to see, no idea why we no longer go for the jugular.

Maybe because we have a big game coming up against Benfica? I know what you mean though.

That's pants sorry! If you had dropped 3 points then you'd be slipping further away from ManC - it was a crucial game for you....

Absolutely, which is why they put in a performance which delivered just that. No more, no less.

Nowhere near as crucial as the Benfica match. We lose to Benfica and we will be on the verge of dropping into the Europa League. Even if we draw we will still only be on for 2nd in the group, and a possible second round tie against Bayern, Real or Barca. That would be a fail of Liverpool esque proportions ;)

Thats how we have been playing for the past 2 years, doing the bare minimal, its **** and very frustrating to watch but we have become a very pragmatic side.
We are in need of new blood, most crucially in midfield and coaching too IMO.Our Football has become as pedestrian as our midfield and is by far the worst of SAF`s sides to watch.

Helps when we have a settled midfield or even know our main central midfielders...

Agreed but no 2 stand out, they are all lacking in one or more aspects of their game. The lack of investment in our midfield is mind boggling, we havent bought a player for what is by far our weakest area since 2008!

Carrick has been very good in his last 2 games but thats because both Swansea and Benfica gave him the space to control the game, though Benfica sussed this out with 25 minutes to go on Tuesday and we couldnt keep the ball then.Carrick could be a Rolls Royce of a Footballer if only he grew some balls and started to dominate games.
