Like Trippier and Bruno Guimareas? They are clearly affected by it aren't they so unfortunately I'd say they aren't exaggerating and nobody else is either. I would have thought the fact it's impacting the players would see more negativity towards the behaviour of the fans than saving face mate and deflection.
You have similarities to us tbf. A very good first 11 but real weakness as a squad. You (like us) can't cope with injuries / suspensions. Unfortunately some fans can be impatient and ott. When your doing well they expect the moon and at the first blip it's all doom and gloom. Read one post on here yesterday saying you should just sack off the CL as it's ruining your chances of getting a CL league place for next season! Some fans are grade A tools
I'm beginning to think Howes style of play is the issue and if it is he'll need to do something different moving forward. I agree I mean Newcastle aren't really a topn4 club yet just because they finished 4th once., so just enjoy the experience and they'll keep building. It was inevitable that the club would fall back, but many fans thought the job was done.

On our board yesterday there was a fan saying Ange's honeymoon is over ffs At worst we will be 4th gorgeous the international break. We've lost 2 out of 12 games, scored in every match and ate enjoyable to watch. We lost yesterday cos we were out played and were without Peresic (all season), Van Der Ven (late Jan), Maddison (late jan) and Richarlison (?) that are all injured and Udogie and Romero who are suspended. That's 4 starters and 2 subs missing and some wondered why we struggled yesterday. Some fans are a bit plastic tbh and forget to just enjoy the ride
