Think its something they are going to have to address in the window....other than buying Jude Bellingham then I don't know where the solution is. His brother looks a useful player.
First game I’ve been to this season despite owning a season ticket. Just a few thoughts: - Huddesfield were absolutely garbage not helped by the way they set up. - Thoroughly deserved the 3 points and what a relief at the end. - Nice to see Rosie mixing things up a tiny bit from goalkicks and set pieces etc. - Rosie gets stick from some how we play, but there should be nothing but praise how he’s turned our back 5 round. - Coyle and Tufan were excellent. - Twine really lacks a trick, and everything seems to go backwards, hopefully improves. - Jaden is obviously is and going to be a hugely talented player, love the way he stands defenders up, but sometimes he doesn’t need to stand them up constantly, sometimes get it and run at them with no hesitation. Just a point not huge criticism. - The ball in behind, or the ball behind their full backs needs to be used more. - I don’t know if Morton will play for Liverpool, but he won’t be far off, a brilliant future ahead. - Huddesfields left winger (Arda Thomas I think) was excellent. Get him signed up. - This place would be a lot different tonight if we didn’t get the winner, suppose that’s football. Overall an excellent night, a couple of careful and considered additions in Jan we won’t be far from the play offs.
Nobody has ever said that. Some people definitely misuse or exaggerate the importance of certain stats some of the time, but this boomer thing of pretending that anyone who mentions a statistic actually thinks it's more important than the result is incredibly tiresome.
Not sure what we could really add to the squad that could solve the problem though. We don't have enough numbers in some positions, but I think the players on the pitch are usually more than good enough. Last season we definitely lacked certain types of players on the pitch, this season I don't think so. Maybe you could say a penalty box poacher, but then we have that in Connolly don't we, and he doesn't play because Delap is doing well. Maybe we'll see them play up front together before long.
Huddersfield were the poorest team we have played all season. They had no intention of trying to win the game and would have been dancing down the M62 if their brand of anti-football had won them an undeserved point
Keenan Davis would have been a different kind of threat up front, I'm confident well look to address that in Jan. There's room for another deep cm and LB too - though Ozan and Adama have done OK there when required - were going to be very thin there when AFCON starts.
Not as tiresome as people analyse the top and bottom of every game and make their interpretations fit their own viewpoint. And definitely not as tiresome as people who throw in the word boomers. I would bet that the people in the North Stand who are predominantly Generation Alphabet and Millenials think the same about all the over analysing. It seems a preoccupation of a handful of people on here as other boards do not appear to have reams of this stuff on them.
I suspect he'd have been another option to rotate, rather than a permanent improvement to our starting XI. Delap already runs the channels and holds it up well. Do we need a second player on the pitch doing that sort of job?
No, but he'd offer a very different set of physical attributes than we currently have. Games like today where there's no space in behind sometimes it's useful to have someone who can bully centrehalves.
It would be good if when we are playing with wide players that aren’t wide players we have attacking, overlapping full backs to stretch them a bit better. Also Oscar in the box as a target to aim for and offering something different, who also has a knack of having the ball just drop to his feet in the box. I think we have the players in the squad.
He thought it was Wembley cramp until someone told him where he was playing. Taking him off was a precautionary manoeuvre to protect his other toes.
I'd say we need a 'ballsout' striker in the window in the Davis mould...Not sure who is around to fulfil the wish...Delap is not a lone striker. He's better playing touch line side of a central 9. Sadly, I know Twine puts in a shift and runs around but I've not seen anything in the end product department that would prompt me to say he's in the starting XI every week. Also midfield anchor...With Seri maybe going to AFCON then that will leave a hole for someone to partner Morton....probably Slater, then need back up, maybe. A lot of Championship sides will be adversely effected by AFCON.
This is nonsense... https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...field-towns-defenders-but-to-no-avail-4406420
I was calling for him to come on from start of second half (sacrifice Macca) so as an attacking/overlapping left back to give some more width. With them not putting any pressure on us, it was set up for him, and I couldn’t see the advantage of the first subs and moving Coyle to left back.
In my opinion we need the following in January - a left back that Rosenior trusts to defend - a midfielder with legs that can drive the ball forward or a midfielder to do the dirty work - a backup target man in the summer it will be another overhaul with the likes of Twine, Delap and Morton no longer being here but that’s the struggles of the championship on a non parachute budget.
What game was Moore watching? They had 1 piss poor shot on target. They had no intention of attacking all game. **** side, **** manager
