Well that was damn nippy out there, just thawing out, but worth it, we got there in the end, 3 points, clean sheet. A very comfortable afternoon, we were always in control, dominant possession, should have been more comfortable though. Thought Capt Coyle played out of his skin again, a great role model. Once more, unsure about the subs, using two fullbacks as wingers, shows how little Liam fancies Allayhar, but it was very effective, what do I know!

We had an impeccable Remembrance Day appreciation, well done to all, particularly the bugler.

Time for a little celebration now, before strictly unavailable. UTT

I’ll credit the team for plugging away to get the winner. 3 points is the most important thing. We drew this fixture last season at home under similar circumstances except it was 1-1 and a draw was looking likely most of the game.

Credit where credit is due but it was not a good performance by us though.

To be fair, both he and Delap were desperately trying to get the ball over the line after I think Delap hit the bar, or some other sort of pinball. Both of them put their bodies on the line on that occasion and that's when he got injured. But yes, dogged by injuries.

Good strike but it wasn't 'an excellent lay off'! Or is that a #woosh?!? It bounced off Philogene's leg as he was trying to control it for himself. Thankfully we finally got a bit of luck and it rebounded directly to Delap to finish nicely.

The same way that him not coming on last week supposedly proved he'd had a falling out.

If you believe what was said by Rosie last week then I've got some magic beans for you.

But anyway back in the real world, adults can disagree or have words, things can go on behind the scenes and those things can then be resolved. Just because something has happened, doesn't mean it can't be put to bed and people move on... We aren't Manchester utd

Nobody said that. People were asking on here why Connolly wasn’t getting minutes recently and two posters said they heard troubling rumours about him and his attitude.

Come on, you know syd can't take what people have actually said. He has to make up his own **** to support his narrative

I thought it was a good performance
no ponderous play at the back
we moved the ball quickly from the back
we create plenty of chances but the goalkeeper saved most of them or they were only just off target
Delap messed up a tap in from 6 yards
I thought Vinagre and Twine played well
i dont think anybody had a bad game

Peter, you would hope when they were playing 1 up top and another 9 in their own half that we weren't ponderous at the back and moved the ball quicker...

Prem team bringing some players not on international duty and players needing fitness. Perfect for them and us during the break

Worked hard as a team , but god do we need a poacher !!
Good to see Vinagre come on and play wing Christie wide the other side helped , also everybody did their bit . Twine makes some great channel runs into space but our defensive midfield can’t find him shame because he is intelligent .

Lots of variety in the play today and in the end it paid off. Thought Twine, Morton and in the second half Tufan were brilliant. Vinagre changed the game, he needs more time on the pitch. Good 3 points, we move on.

Actually looking at the replay, though he used his leg/knee I'm not sure it 'bounced off'. Looked like he directed it towards Delap - so, excellent lay off sums it up. albeit with his leg/knee and that it looked a little ungainly, but then he does.

Thought Tufan looked good all game, looked sharp, lots of quick flicks and touch and move, good runs. Peach of a cross in for Delaps header onto the bar too.

A necessary track back and professional foul also.
