Very poor turnout as well for the big race in Down Royal. 4 runners only going to post as of now. Not sure what the main reason being is.
Gerri Colombe also is 6/1 for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. How on Earth has his form warranted that price? Hype? Lack of potential opposition?
Elliott has the bookies sweating on multiples at Down Royal again - 2 races, 2 favs, 2 winners. Great ride from Freddie Gingell again there at Wincanton - he really is worth that 6lbs
The Grand Sefton (14:45) at Aintree is a bit of a puzzle, with Geskille and Cooper's Cross in with big chances. but without further ado, will go with one at a better price, the bottom-weight, Half Shot. Sean Quinlan rides for the Iain Jardine yard. 15/2 (Unibet) best price at time of writing. E/W best option .................... In the (14:15) at Kelso, the favourite, No Regrets, has an excellent chance. 5/2 best price in nearly all places. .................... Have an enjoyable and successful Saturday, folks!
15 winners from his last 33 runners for Gordon Elliott - amazing when you think he has been having multiple runners in races too
Won a 0-150 listed handicap hurdle today already Have to say Nicholls is matching him stride for stride today though
Charlotte Jones today... 2 rides two winners. The one in the bumper nearly fell turning for home, stumbled... 5 on the bounce for her... thank you very much. And the racing press will not say a word because she doesnt work for on of the 'players'...
Same here. Envoi Allen was tying up I felt and Gordon Elliott has spoken since and thinks Conflated could be going Hunter Chasing, which seems a bit bizarre giving he is capable of contending mediocre graded races. GC stays well but won't have the class to be up close enough to a true Gold Cup pace I feel.
