Watching that first half, it looked like we were playing more 4-4-2 with Jobe up alongside Rusyn. Bellingham needs to track back more to help out in midfield. Game was far too wide open for me after we scored
Think we need a change of tactics Rusyn looks good need to get the ball up there and quickly. We are easy on the eye but easy to play agains and no real intent
Honestly I know this won’t be popular but Roberts for me is just so ineffective. He is very exciting. Clearly incredibly talented. And does draw fouls. I know there’s way more to stats than goals and assists but one assist and no goals all season kinda tells the story. I’d rather a less talented but more effective player there personally
There's some truth to this, he is one of the best wingers in the league but his end product isn't where it should be. Tries to do too much imo.
The more I watch the more I think he’d better as a 10. Small and agile, good dribbler, good in tight spaces. Not getting the help he needs on the right and not quick enough to glide past his man like Clarke and Ba.
Said it a few times now, he needs to occasionally pass first time or cross. At least give the defenders more to think about it. He's still causing them problems here though.
