Longstaff has been our most consistent player this season. Joelinton was playing rubbish until he got switched. Judging by your theory you therefore have to take into account his first 12 months. Which means you can’t say he’s class. You just don’t like Lascelles. I’m not saying he’s class. I’m saying he’s playing well and is important for us right now.
The longstaff love in doesn't change the fact he isn't very good. There is no theory involved. Lacselles is cack and saying he's class is beyond a joke. Again my opinion has nothing to do with whether I like them.... it's fine for you to have your own and in time we'll see if the club replaces lascelles won't we.
He gets dragged out of position regularly and hides begind trippier and schar... he's trying that doesn't make him a good player for me. The reality is I've said he needs replacing because the club wants to improve and the club will be keen to sign a cb and sell him If possible.
Murphy is another one that will sell ... the clubs doing a very good job of putting these disposable assets in the shop window.
BTW I do like Lascelles and longstaff they're very obviously really great lads that do a job, but ultimately if Newcastle want to push on these types will simply need replacing.
Let's just hope he plays well today now, with a clean sheeet and a winning goal, not a red card for giving away a penalty.
