Happy 30th birthday to the big man. Now I know he gets slated by 'some', but I think he has been a fantastic servant to the club for the past 9 years. Yes, he was here during the dark days and yes I agree he might not be the future, if we are to push on and compete for silverware. BUT he stuck with us during those dark days AND has been integral to our quad since the takeover. He could easily have huffed off when he was no longer 1st choice, but he stayed to fight for his place and by the sound of it, has been a huge support to the lads off the pitch too. And when he has had to step in, he's done well. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially the football purists, but I think we owe him some gratitude for his loyal service. Mr Dependable. Happy birthday Jamaal.
Think we need to forget how players played under Steve “just as great as the mighty Rafa” Bruce and see how each and everyone has significantly improved under EH
No he doesn’t. He’s played well this season. And to be honest we need him. He’s only 30 and has improved immensely. Do you like any of our players?
No I'm basing it on his entire tenure and footballing ability. It's certainly nothing to do with whether I like him
You can’t judge him on his past. You have to judge him on the here and now. Right now he is an important player and is playing well. So he can’t be cack.
I wasn't judging Joelinton on anything other than what I saw... I'm doing the same with lacelles who's quite simply not very good and neither is longstaff. They do a job but Newcastle will absolutely replace lascelles and push on in the years to come.
I think we can all agree that he's been loyal, but he is cack and needs replacing One day Newcastle fans will realise they won't win anything with Lascelles and Longstaff
