I wouldn’t expect the new head coach to change too much yet, he needs time to assess the squad and get to know their strengths/weaknesses.
Need nine points from QPR, Huddersfield and Norwich and this is the best squad of players in Jon Lansdowns time here better than LJ's so this is a must win to crack on to the boards expected promotion.
I thought the squad that beat Man U and gave Man C a fright was better tbh. Some of the best football I’ve seen at AG since the glory days. Shame it all went tits up from the Wolves game onwards….
Jon Lansdown says this is the best. He knows best and its the best in his time here. Points per game have to go up for promotion so QPR will be smashed with front-foot, fast-paced exciting football.
nothing to do with me the team was five points off play offs with eleven twelve out and that wasnt good enough. Jon says this is the best squad and its front-foot, fast-paced exciting football promo time. . They also soon swill have a nice break soon and Jon thinks Pearson and co were deconditioning players during international breaks so when they get back its WWW.
It’ll be interesting to see how the new gaffer sets the team up, I don’t imagine there’ll be too many changes yet as he’s only had a few days with them, but interesting all the same.
Liam Manning's first game, 4-2-3-1: The predicted Bristol City XI to face QPR Here we have predicted Liam Manning's first starting XI for Bristol City against QPR. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/l...-1-the-predicted-bristol-city-xi-to-face-qpr/
he has played that formation a couple of times this season with OXFORD ... BUT WE WILL NEED TO SEE! I think 4 at the back will be his first thought but he regularly goes 3 or 4 at the back! I think might be 3 - 4 - 2-1 or 1 -2 QPR have only scored 11 goals so far and 3 of them in last 4 games! and only scored 2 once! and have 2 clean sheets! SO may think along the lines of 3 defenders and 7 attack minded players! OXFORD had a lot of 3 GOAL scores and a few 2 goals I would settle for us getting 2 and 3 goals a game .that puts pressure on opposition!

25 mins in, lively but pretty even, not too many chances from both sides .. nothing as yet for either keeper to save.. i do quite like our setup but still struggling to make anything happen up front
Haven’t laid a glove on them yet. Liking the high press and hard work from the forwards, just need some creativity now. Can’t expect t miracles in his first game.
Funny - I was thinking how poor the game was. QPR seem to be the more ‘tricky’ on the ball but mainly in their half, whereas we look more ‘direct’. QPRs passing seems more accurate than ours but that might be because we are playing the ball longer than them. Here’s a stream if anyone wants…….. http://www.fawanews.com/QPR vs Bristol City.html
Nice chance from a free kick just outside the penalty area but Mehmeti's cross was woeful to say the least. Hardly heard Weimann's name in the first 45 minutes but he needs to be more involved. Clean looking half from City who are probably slightly ahead on the stats.
