That handball bit of a joke. So woukdnt be a pen because it hit his chest first but apparently is a free kick.. but also how many more phases of play we doing before going back. Numerous passes, a couple of crosses and clearances lol.

Sounds like we didn’t deserve anything anyway. Still group in our own hands just means need 2 wins to make sure of top spot now

This. The end result was fair.
Nice goal from Jota, but that's about all I can take from it.

Just one good thing to say about that utter ****show - Quansah. And Doak, a little bit. The Greek and Matip though... :emoticon-0108-speec

Need to put a good team out AND get three points now against Union, and possibly have to repeat that against LASK at home. Really, we got a favourable draw with hardly any travel - we should have been looking at resting everyone for the last two games. Terribly disappointing, but dodgy decisions apart, we deserved no more. Utter sponk.

We play LASK before Union. Win that and we are in control.

With regard to 'deserving', we 'deserved' a draw, simply because that's how the game played out regardless of how much effort, or lack thereof, we put in. The final goal was taken from us unfairly and that's as much a fact as how badly we played.

we played senior players who should have done better.

it's the senior players who let us down.

I just think we've been poor for a fee games now. Luton was shambles.

I think we need to get back to basics again. the side is just doing silly unfocused things

I completely agree. One thing I will add though is that we don't yet have a settled starting 11. Consistency is key and that means in who plays as well as how they play. We've been forced to rotate rather than chosen to rotate. A big improvement will come because it has to.

we are rotating due to games but the players coming in and the tactics are not doing well.

one injury to Robertson and Jimmy's theory is out the window.

the team has fallen apart with gomez and tsimikas at lb.

especially with trent being indulged rather than providing any width.

back to basics for me means get players wide and pick the right team in the right tactics.

Nor really. We've been forced to rotate due to injuries and suspensions. A fully fit squad gives the luxury of rotation which usually works well. Enforced rotation, not so much. Take last night as an example, when we needed Jones for his ball retention skills. I won't go position by position because it's obvious.

How many crosses did we put in to their box, including corners with none of our players getting on the end of anything. Same against Luton. We lost so many 50/50 balls, two of their goals came from us giving the ball to them. On a positive note, Doak and Quansah did well

I use the word "deserving" in relation to the performance, not isolated incidents - regardless of their significance.
We can play well and get nothing and I will say we deserved more - last night we were poor and ultimately got the nothing we deserved. So a last minute goal was chalked off - controversially perhaps - but we should never have been in the position of desperately scrambling to salvage something.
No complaints from me, Toulouse deserved their moment of glory - I don't expect it to affect the table in the end.

I have a different view to you on 'deserved' in relation to football but I accept yours. I agree that we should never have been in the position of needing a last minute goal, not even to win but to draw? The game should have been sewn up long before then. The fact that it wasn't, doesn't make the var decision any easier to take - for me at least.

If you take 'deserved' to another dimension which I don't want to but will point out that I don't think feigning injury all game 'deserves' to win either.
