Good for cafc. 10 of our starters yesterday were English except kermit of course. It just goes to show that our kids can be motivated and successful too, if given the chance. Nandos and McDonald's take note, johnny foreigner might be a quick cheap option but there's nothing like the homegrown to give your outfit more class.
Does it matter whether they're English or non English and all teams have to have a number of homegrown players anyway. Plenty of successful teams have both and why the johnny foreigner slur, most people I know born in England have mixed parentage or relations from all over the world or other parts of the UK I should say.
Don't start all that off again! But I do think that it's nice that we have lots of South London born players currently.
Why is it such a crime to speak up for the sons of this nation? They are constantly told they have nothing to offer against the foreigners and are treated terribly by this country and employers. It's not a crime to try and want homegrown talent to excel is it? At least cafc can show the country that our kids have something to aspire too.
It's hard to mess up 'chips' and they get the added assistance of being able to look at a picture for help. Ps Nando in Croydon (Surrey) have 25 staff, 7 were born in England. Source, today's Sunday mail.
Yes even with an extra man they are failing.mi knew they had extra fingers up there....besides it is very close to Wales.
In doing so is it really necessary to use slurs against people from overseas? Terms like johnny foreigner are so derogatory and demeaning anyway and as most people have mixed parentage/heritage even if they're born in England it seems your thread is designed to whip up hatred against others.
This sort of thread drives me off the site faster than an Acworth Attack - insulting and provocative.
Bye then. It is both topical and supportive of the country and club position. It has the odd joke to take away the severity for the hypo sensitive and witless yet you still find offense. What is the point of the forum if it is full of stiff necks?
It's not "bye then". These threads belong on general chat, not here. Can't abide by that, then it's bye to you.
I totally agree TA, the initial thread has veiled insults, then when you put forward a different view, the counter argument back is full of more insults and personal attacks.
The place I've just bid on doesn't have a garden, so can't tell you how it grows. But there is a nandos 10 minutes away.
I know IA it was an in joke. But I think you wrong 4 chesterfield players yesterday were not born in England.
