I think the only raw side I see of Pep is that he is really hard on his players, even when they win, but that's what makes winners. Pep's team could have won a game 5-0 but if you missed a chance during that game, he's still going to tell you about it, in a way that says it should have been 6-0. He expects a high standard all the time, every minute and second you are on the pitch, and he's not afraid to drop anyone, even De Bryune. I half suspected that was part reason why Gundogan left - I still remember that time Haaland gave him the ball and he missed that penalty, Pep was absolutely fooking furious but that's the standards he sets and his trophy haul says it works, obviously with lots of money as well, and maybe a bit of dabbling in FFP by those higher up in the rafters. .

 

Pep is a quality manager no doubt about it. I think he'd do well on a budget as well but we're not going to find that out ever.

We've had some good battles with them and come out on top a few times some great games between us over the last few years. Tactical and physical.
