If anything, it makes the entire organisation appear even more embarrassingly inept that 4/5 think it wasn't a foul on Gabriel. But whatevs.
Any more references to the game and I'm going to start deleting your comments. I've told you multiple times to move on and you keep talking about it.
To be fair, that was away from home. At The Etihad, they’d probably beat them by a cricket score. At The Emirates, I’d expect us to put at least 3 goals past this Burnley side, who are clearly struggling.
I never want to set my expectations game by game like that. I have seen too much football to know that in the PL there is chance - and not an insignificant one - we'll lose the game. A win and 3pts - I don't really care how it comes at this stage of the season where all that really matters in getting in and staying in position to have a run at the league title.
Of course football can be full of surprises and you can never know. We still need to earn the right to win. But realistically, this is a game we should be expecting to win well given the gulf in quality between our squads and based on the results both teams have had so far this season. I don't think it's unreasonable to be going into this game expecting a dominant display and 3 points. Anything other than a (comfortable) Arsenal win would be a grave and concerning disappointment.
A win is never disappointing to me. I will take 1-0 with an own goal. Scintillating football and how we look right now isn't important IMO - only pts. We need to hit stride/best form around March. I guess we just look at it different - all good.
To be fair, Arteta's presser today has tampered my expectations a bit. Saka didn't train and is a doubt for tomorrow, as are Odegaard, Nketiah and Jesus. Partey, ESR and Timber are obviously longer-term absentees. That being said, I still expect a pretty comfortable victory. 2-0 to us (I hope).
I'm from this mould. I don't care how we win as long as we do. It's great seeing us dominate games and put 4 past the oppo But sometimes those scrappy wins where you get a last min winner when it goes in off the arse of a defender can be the most rewarding
Apparently White had an issue at the end of the Sevilla game which has ruled him out of today’s match. I am hoping it’s nothing serious because we need players back asap. Hopefully over the break he will get some rest.
20 minutes gone and I have to say, this has been a little flat from us. We’re monopolising possession, but we lack something in between the lines and we still lack guile in central pockets of space. Burnley fairly comfortable so far.
