If Utd finish 3rd you just know they’ll get draw against Liverpool in the latter stages of Europa. That would be interesting
Think it's called a 'leveller' I e. The time / place when two participants reach their correct level of competition / relevance
I love Howe for where we are right now and can see him here for a couple more seasons but there's a few moving parts in all that. If we aren't looking like challenging for something - even just getting the worst trophy around - then I can see the owners making moves. The other thing I can fully see happening is him taking the England job after Southgate, I think he's the obvious choice and despite him saying he isn't interested I'd be surprised if he wasn't. In all honesty I think Howe with the current England squad may actually have a great chance of winning something - he's a big upgrade on Southgate.
Howe's strength is coaching players day to day. He wouldn't get that with England. Southgates strength is being a hoop licker to the FA big wigs which he gets to do on a day to day basis
I meant the last time we played them in the Europy, but yeah, I wouldn't fear meeting them next March - if they don't finish 4th in their group.
Players who've scored the most goals ever against the premier league league top 6 in all competitions (United, City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs)... Messi is in the top three but has never played in the prem. Good stat.
Yeah we got a good draw in that group. Still got to beat the teams that are put before you mind. Put ourselves in pole position for qualification for the last 16 now
That should you be done, now. I don’t see you getting past a half decent outfit with Lego head in charge. You need a manager change to kick you on.
