Newcastle need to be tough like. Livramento is a talent, he's playing AROUND Trippier because we are soft. But Trippier is over 30. Livramento is phenomenal, I'm so impressed by this lad. He needs to be starting 11. We need to start pushing out our older players and bring in our talent, we need to be ruthless and push to be the best.
Poor but big joe has to score and it's a different game. You can miss chances and win against crystal palace but not in the champions league.
We beat psg but ultimately this side is not as good as them or this lot.The fact we've still had to send **** like lascelles and longstaff out at this level tells me everything.
That's because it's true mate.. they're not champions league quality.Newcastle got schooled because most of them aren't actually. The day we've replaced them it'll be a big step fwd
Tell's me there's only so many players we can buy due to FFP, and people need to stop pissing their nappy's and have faith in the system and people doing their jobs. We'll still have the likes of Lascelles (Who has done well recently) Longstaff (Who is integral) and Almiron for another 18 months or so yet.
Everyone knows this but it's true that these players aren't good enough at this level and I have actually been quite vocal in saying this was always just an experience to enjoy.
Please explain how we were just schooled? We lost a game of football against a good team. The 2nd came because we pushed for the equaliser, no shame involved at all. This is about enjoying the journey for most of us (Granted Trev and Hung need to get to the destination quicker than most) not reaching the destination.
I think he is good enough going by recent form and I never thought I'd say that a few short months ago.
Over the two legs it was abundantly clear Dortmund were better physically and with the ball. They were clearly the better side Newcastle never laid a glove on them. Nothing to be ashamed of.
True in the first leg, definitely not true in the second leg. We gave a very good team a tough game, and there's loads of positives to take. Particularly considering our injury situation.
I think you've got to watch the games again mate they were comfortable. It's nothing to be ashamed of these are one of the biggest clubs in the world and nufc are still carrying some really sub standard players. This is a journey we don't have to get carried away we've just set off... let's not forget who we've actually played.
Players get injured and Longstaff is not good enough... he'll have success vs average players not this lot sorry.
