    Ross Stewart.

That's what the Sunderland fans call him.

Plus we've got James Beattie in the crowd.

Bloody hope Bree is fit. Holgate I can just about stomach, but not Manning too.

Just got FM24. First game of the season I won 2-1. Goal conceded was a mistake by Manning…

Yeah. Not a big one. Was just hobbling a bit. Haven't heard anything since.

He had a knock before coming off.
Wondering if he might be an option for CB? Did he play there at Luton or was that just in a back 3/5?

No idea. If stephens is still out maybe Charles is the next best option at CB.

I don't like Charles at CB personally. Would rather just go with Holgate as this situation is exactly what he was brought in for.

No, but it’s likely to be Charles or Holgate. Syph or gon?

Debating whether to go with the real-world start, or begin at the outset of summer. Getting the chance to burn last year's squad to the ground myself is awfully tempting...

Yeah we can't give up on Holgate. He was better against Preston, albeit alongside Bednarek.

Charles is just as much of a liability at CB, and doesn't have the experience of 100+ Premier League games to support his case.

Also, if our only back up DM is playing CB, then what happens if Downes gets injured? Too much shifting around would be required.

I'm a fan of playing to our strengths. Square holes for square pegs and all that

Holgate is a CB, highly rated by Ancelotti whilst at Everton.

With Bree it would be really unfortunate if he is injured as I think he has been excellent at LB. Although that contradicts my square pegs theory!

So wouldn't being excellent at LB would mean he's in the right shaped hole? Capable on both sides.

    RB: KWP > Bree
    LB: KWP > Bree

    BUT

KWP RB & Bree LB > Bree RB & KWP LB
