Yet another horse I have a share in is running in the 3:07 @ Plumpton. Wouldyoubewell, with Emma Lavelle. Anderson (5lbs) booked to ride.
14:50 Hereford: Hiconic e/w has sporting chance of a podium finish. 10/1 (BetMGM/BetUK) best price at time of writing.
Plumpton 15.07 Blade Runner ew at 13/2. Up against it in this class but course specialist and in form so may have a squeak
Kempton 15.30 Measured Time looked a wheelbarrow job at the forecast odds of 10/11 but I see he's 8/15 now so sod it. 4/6 is my absolute limit and that is a reluctant bet at the best of times
Kempton 14.30 Some nice pedigrees in this one so could easily go to a newcomer. But Royal Power, by Frankel out of a Dubawi mare, was 5th on debut at this course recently in a very respectable time, despite running green, so is difficult to oppose. But not a betting race
Won well enough. All favs so far at Kempton I was too late for the 14.00 but I see that went to a Frankel also. Having a good day at Kempton
Bollox, chinned on the line. Backers would have been counting their winnings when Midair set sail inside the furlong marker. Looked to be in front a stride before the line and a stride after; but not on the line where it matters. That's the Frankel bubble burst at Kempton
Was he pushing the wheelbarrow? Disappointed with Buick there. The slow pace "didn't suit". That's no excuse for a top jockey. Should be able to measure the time. Maybe overestimated the colt's ability. Should have been aware of the colt's inability to quicken off a slow pace. Poor do if he wasn't and, if he was, poor do if he didn't realise it was a slow pace and, if he did, poor do for not quickening up sooner. Overall I think that was a poor do
