I don’t remember us ever chanting about Hillsborough, I hope the ****ers don’t get another point all season.
Just having a look at the Cup 2nd round draw. Few teams I’d fancy, away, in the 3rd round … Harrogate, Crewe, Horsham, Sutton, Cray Valley & a couple of others, Nailed on Wigan at home.
I'd Kevin Keegan 'lov it' if Norwich got relegated. That's how much I'd 'Lov it...' I listened to a bit of 'Budgie call' on Radio Norwich. It was funny...All these deluded farmer types crying into their G&Ts.
Probably similar numbers chanting that as were chanting town full of bombers, many thousands more weren't chanting either chant.
Have the wheels come off at Norwich? They looked definite promotion contenders when we played them first game and everything appeared rosy (oh no, that’s us). What’s gone on? I do think playing teams at the right time, can have a bearing on the season.
Absolutely, which is annoying as it's what I was expecting pre-season, but they somehow came out and looked like world beaters the first month which of course had to be when we played them.
it sure looks that way. they started with six wins and a draw in their first eight games (including two cup wins), so that gave them 13 points from six, and then they had a run of ten games with 8 defeats (one of which was a cup game) and only a win and draw. so that's 4 points out of 27. the defeat in the first eight games was in the 7th, so it's now 9 defeats in 12, including the last four games without a point. they've got one away point since august. middlesbrough have done the opposite. after seven league games they had two points (but had won away cup games at bolton and huddersfield). then they won seven on the trot, including another away cup win (bradford c). the last three games have included a fourth away cup win (exeter) and a loss and draw in the league.
Just imagine if we'd played Boro during their poor run and then Norwich during their's, rather than the other way around.. Blackburn got to do that. Suppose we got lucky getting Birmingham as Rooney was coming in.
We beat Stoke when they were in a slump too. I guess it evens out. That said we played well at Norwich and successfully sustained lots of pressure. Their injury time goal was fortunate.
We were awful first half, but their winner shouldn’t have been allowed. Pick any of the following; blatant offside/shouldn’t have been a corner/foul on a City player/well past injury time.
I said at beginning of season when Norwich were mentioned as being amongst the favourites to wait and see as a Norwich season ticket holder I know said things were not looking too promising behind the scenes there. Not helped when the manager has only spent money,£ 3 million I think, on a player from his previous club and then followed that with another one. After spending nothing of the £3 million they took in the previous transfer window.
If you listened to Talksport on RH you would want us to get relegated. And the rugby clubs to go out of business.
36. minutes gone in Spurs v Chelsea... the balls hit the back of the net 6 times and the score is 1-1...!!!
Sky just highlighted Spurs having 9 players attacking in the opposition half at one point. They've got no chance of getting near the top of the Premier League throwing caution to the wind like that. Much better watching 9 players defending their own penalty area and trying to keep a clean sheet. Fans don't have the right to expect entertainment in modern day football and if they don't like negative play they can xxxx off!
