Harry Kane: Can Bayern Munich striker beat Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga record? - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67326677
BILGE were adamant he wouldn't in the summer when it looked like armer kleiner Bayern wouldn't get their way...
As someone in the comments points out, the top scorers in the Bundesliga got 16 last season. They were Bremen's Fullkrug and Leipzig's Nkunku, who have joined Dortmund and Chelsea, respectively. Bayern's next league game is against newly promoted Heidenheim. They're in 13th place and have conceded 22 goals in 10 games. He could surpass last season's top scorers after less than a dozen games.
I’m genuinely so happy for him, the whole world is now actually realising that “holy ****, he probably is the best striker in world football” after we’d been saying it for years. What could’ve been with him in Ange-ball though .
I find it a bit ****ree that everyone who was hating him actually acknowledges him now that he has left Spurs He was great for us and he’s great for Bayern I see no difference The boy has always been world class
Was the same with Modric, bro. We kept telling people he was the best CM in the Prem but kept getting laughed at. Then he goes Madrid, wins tons of CLs, few La Ligas, a Balon d’Or and is now immortalised as one of the best CMs to ever play the game, lol.
And Bale. Just reinforcing the fact that the club you play at before the final step to being an apex legend, is Spurs.
He's getting close to two per game. If his PL era is anything to go by, it does not augur well for the Bundesliga as he usually runs riot in the final quarter of the season.
From the BBC: These are the top-scoring English players in a Bundesliga season... 18 - Harry Kane (2023-24, Bayern) 17 - Jadon Sancho (2019-20, Dortmund) 17 - Kevin Keegan (1978-79, Hamburg) 15 - Tony Woodcock (1981-82, Cologne) That's after less than 12 games. Ridiculous.
<BBC> Cologne 0-1 Bayern Munich I'm sure the statisticians are hammering out some more Harry Kane records as we speak. I'll let you know. </BBC>
Just like Greaves you can see him score goals but it looks so easy surely everyone can do that! But they can't. Kane is a phenomenon. Knowing where to be and then having the skills to control what the ball does, all in split seconds. Kane has the added skill of being able to spot a pass and carry it out just like Johnny Haynes. DeBruyne in the modern game has such passing skills but he's not up with Kane in the goal scoring stakes. On top of all that Kane can hold the ball and it's difficult to get the ball off him. We should sign this guy.
Kane scores again after two minutes. Zagadou-dou-dou (push pineapple, shake the tree) in defence for Stuttgart
