If you were commanding the Israeli forces. What would your military strategy have been to rid the Hamas fighters of Gaza after their terrorist attack on 7th October? That’s what CK is asking you.
The arrogance of those that purport to know the minds and thoughts of others on here is quite breathtaking ... ... but you are wrong ... ... the 'strongest criticism' from me is always reserved for acts of barbarism ... so would include Hamas actions of 7th October that were not military targets (therefore just about everything other than a watch tower) and Israeli targets since that were not wholly military... no excuses or trying to justify that women and kids become 'fair game' because some Hamas fighters were, or might have been, hiding beneath a refugee camp or in a school, or church ...
Of course it's important to know but we never will. Ultimately, a decision has to be made. Does Israel accept Hamas as a permanent problem, or does it seek to end that problem once and for all? How effective the strategy of that decision is is subject to debate but one thing I know for absolute certain and that is that you, Fosse, me and any other poster for that matter hasn't got a ****ing clue how it could be done more effectively, which is why none of you are able to offer any viable alternatives and therefore default to blanket condemnation.
He doesn't want to get rid of Hamas and doesn't believe that this is the Israeli objective in the first place. Which is why he hasn't been able to provide me with an answer. He's asking a totally different question.
I was bang in the middle of it in the days after Oct 7th and not online at all. But the posts you made that were referenced above are utterly shameful and damning. Thanks to those posts, my attention was drawn to the possibility that you don't genuinely mean a word you just wrote. You failed to condemn Hamas' actions as an atrocity until brb and others called you out on it, only then did you change your tone. Some of your posts from Oct 7th-9th are frankly shocking.
Liar, never happened, your first comments did not codemn Hamas. Saying 'so would include' is not condeming, because you didn't lol. I actually had to pull you up on it several times. I can see now you are back tracking on your projected thoughts at the time, so let me help you, after the Hamas attacked some of your first words were, illegal occupation and you were agreeing with a definition of terrorism, but aiming it at Israel.
Simple ... avoid civilian casualties at all cost ... not that it's acceptable for 80% of people we kill to be non combatants ... coz it ain't ... There was always going to be a ground offensive and it was always going to end up being a street at a time warfare ... Israel has every advantage going in terms of arms and equipment ... they did not need to slaughter 7,000 (and still rising) women and kids - that was a conscious decision made by the Israeli regime and part of a broader agenda to drive the Palestinian population out of Gaza completely ...
If you read back you will find i have presented the view that Israel have enough men and equipment to roll into Gaza and clear out/destroy the tunnels where Hamas are. They have the maps/locations of entrances and even a layout of the actual facility so why not go in and blast the first few hundred yards of each entrance to seal the rats in? would that be less humane than whet is happening now.
What illegal occupation? ...only one of us in denial about that ...but here's your chance - are you willing to admit that Israel is illegally occupying parts of the West Bank and East Jerusalem... and that Israel has established illegal settlements there? Over to you ...
Hostages that the Qataris had all but arranged to be released hours before Netanyahu ordered the tanks to go in ...
You said ‘simple’ but offered no strategy, at all. Hamas aren’t a conventional army in uniform and tanks. They’re a gorilla outfit living amongst the population. There’s no battlefield to meet them on. You always lead with intelligence and if that’s telling you that your enemies top commanders are all together and will be for a further 15 minutes but are meeting under a church, you can’t get an infantry there in that time but you do have air support, what would you do?
Well bolded ... how about some condemnation for the slaughter of over 7,000 Palestinian women and kids next - just to show you're not a one trick pony ... I'll wait ...
No, no, you are fine, you just carry on with your tirade and back tracking, because you should rightly be grovelling after some of the utterly disgusting things you said. Even CK has highlighted them to you, CK put it perfectly, quite frankly shocking. This is not my argument, I can see the light, if you just move those clouds over a bit more, you will also see the light. Oh how did you get on in the bingo, did you win?
Haven't a ****ing clue. Which is exactly my point. Here were both are, pontificating about intricate military strategy, and none of us has a ****ing clue.
