Yeah fair play to him, and seconds after the goal goes in as well. You can tell Millwall fans have had to put up with a lot of crap over the years.

**** me I'm hungover. Went out on beer when got back and finally crawled into bed at 1am.

Shins absolutely covered in bruises which always sign of a late winner. Still absolutely buzzing from that. First late winner I've celebrated for years and years.

I'm just going to leave this here. No explanation needed

Nice coverage on itv highlights show. First game on…so didn’t need to make myself dizzy fast forwarding …and showed a few goals from previous matches. Nice interview with Fraser talking about great team spirit.

Dominated game giving them few chances…deserved to get late goal. Well done, lads.

    Special shout out to …loading…

Firstly was them refusing to allow me to leave a pub because of a 'breach of the peace cordon' which was bollocks as I didn't see any issues at all.

Then they refused to let me get off at the train station I wanted to.

Then they kettled us on a stop-start walk for 45-50 minutes on a walk which should have taken 15.

These were all huge inconveniences and complete overkill. Probably done to try and subdue a crowd and sober people up.

This means we got to the area outside the ground at five past 3, where they decided to funnell around 700-1000 people through a narrow gap which couldn't have been much more than a metre gap. Very uncomfortable with an unhappy crowd who knew they'd missed kick off.

And then inside the turnstiles they blocked the whole area of the concourse past the first stairwell and was asking us to go up into the upper tier and then through the seats and back down. Absurd and they eventually they saw this when the crowd congestion was getting really bad and allowed people through. Finally got to my seat 13 minutes in.

Those last two were more than an inconvenience but outright dangerous. Crowd control 101 ffs.

My post yesterday was harsh on reflection and I retract it as it's not most of the ones there at fault. I spoke to a few at HT who said to me (verbatim) "Mate I agree, it was ****ing disgusting. I'm going to be making this point to superiors later and you need to send a complaint too. I know you'll probably not be bothered by time you get home but make sure you do".

Yesterday was a good reminder that there are two types of coppers in this world. Those who go in as genuinely want to help and the ****er bullies who join as they enjoy asserting authority over people. Unfortunately it appeared most of those in charge yesterday were the latter.

All worth it for a late winner in the end.

    As for the actual football...

    - Thought we were poor first half (or the 32 mins I saw), back to the slow ponderous passing which wasn't really getting anywhere. Felt like a proper low quality championship match.

    - Second half we were excellent and fully deserved the 3 points. From about the 55th minute we got Alcaraz into the game more and he made a huge difference. Stu also much better second half.

    - Maybe being slightly critical but we still struggled to create clear chances despite our possession but hopefully this improves and Stewart helps with that. Can see him getting on the end of a lot of the crosses we put in.

    - Sulemana is a bit of an enigma isn't he? I can't decide whether he's our most dangerous player or if he's another speed merchant with no end product, both maybe? So frustrating to see him beat his man and then try and do so again unnecessarily.

    - Seems to me the players are far more comfortable (and therefore confident) in keeping possession in our own third. Don't look anywhere near as likely to give up a goal here as we did earlier in the season and we were excellent at playing our way out of trouble when they pressed us.

    - What a signing THB is! He and Bedders have formed a fantastic partnership. Harsh on Jack but he doesn't get back into this team now for me.

    - Armstrong showed fantastic composure for the goal when the ball bounced back to him quite quickly

    - Ref was atrocious, in both directions

    - Best away celebration I've been involved in since Fratton four years ago. **** VAR.

Think that's everything. Buzzing for WBA next week. UTFS :emoticon-0165-muscl

I think Millwall deserve a fair bit of credit for the lack of clear cut chances. They were under a lot of pressure 2nd half and they kept their shape and defended very well. Lots of blocks, interceptions and clearances. It was always going to be difficult to create lots. We did all the right things 2nd half - stay patient, get Charly involved, get in behind the full backs. A bit more luck/composure and we would have won by more.

Exactly right. And forcing the opposition to play without the ball for 90 minutes is a big part of the reason we keep scoring in time added on; that's not coincidence we keep doing that.

    Yeah agreed on both counts.

They didn't offer much but were very well drilled and seemed to have studied our play well and were quick to close gaps down out wide to force us backwards.

As you say we did everything right second half to counter it. Would have been an absolutely travesty had we not won that game based on that second half performance. So hard for a team to keep concentration for so long when under that kind of pressure.

As I said too I can definitely see Stewart improving us in this regard. He'll gamble on some of the lower crosses that we don't seem to do much now and hopefully get his noggin on a couple of higher ones too.

You're absolutely right that it isn't coincidence. It's pretty much a perfect reversal of how we used to fade after pressing opponents hard for about 75 minutes then running out of steam.

It's because they're all pissed off their predictions of doom under Martin are proving false so far. Some people would rather be right and lose every week.

It's utterly mental. If the day ever comes where I'm unhappy with a last minute winner then I'm packing it in.

That's a massive miss, especially as it's against the best opposition we have played for quite a while.

I'm with you in the hungover stakes. Besides the win the birthday party yesterday was a gathering of old school party people for a rousing reunion. Today a 25th wedding anniversary celebration with an Indonesian couple. It'll be a banquet of super food but beware the Arak attack. Slow day tomorrow.

Totally agree, Bedders will be a big miss, WBA are doing well so far this especially when you consider they are pretty much skint.
My boss is a WBA fan and he is very surprised with how they have been doing.
We are both going Saturday and I very much want to have bragging rights.

And if it gets to six points dropped, us Islanders will still only need one hand to count points
