it's all down to unnecessary passing passing for the sake of it slowing the game down so opponents have time to get into their desired formation dont make out it's me at fault when you argue without being factually correct you make out that I am shocked that the team concedes due to messing about at the back I have been warning about the dangers before this match you like them passing around at the back but you dont see that it is why we rarely create chances going forward
Really intrigued that you've said this without knowing keepers can't pick it back after dropping it but carry on
there was no reason to drop the ball in the first place he could have caught the ball and thrown it out more effectively than pass to somebody standing five yards to his right
Are you an actual human or an AI bot? With the emphasis on artificial? There's literally no emotional intelligence in literally anything you post. So I'm asking out of genuine interest?
And if you re-read my post you will see that I agree with you on that point. However, our style is to invite the pressure that led to Wallace blocking off Jones as a passing option to Allsop (unless you want to break the rules by your own standards) Yes if the ball had been played to Jones earlier then maybe we dont concede there. Maybe we do. As you have said yourself every pass has risk. Jones could have easily cocked up the following pass and the same result happens. We have seen the Allsop to Seri to Jones sequence countless times and on this occasion it ****ed up. To highlight it as some sort of prophecy that you have been foreseeing like Hull City's answer to Nostradamus is like I said tiring. I like many acknowledge the risk that comes with playing this way. For me the reward far outweighs the risk. You can point to the times it hasn't worked, I can point to many more where it has. Today was an unfortunate cock up. As I said to another poster is we have often transitioned out of this playing out the back to get into good positions to waste them via recycling possession. We did it today as we didn't have someone to advance the ball.
what is the point of passing to Seri who passes to Jones who passes to Coyle or Morton when Allsop could pass to Coyle or Morton without all the risky passes in between?
This. By suggesting Allsop could have re-picked up the ball ---- Because the sequence of Allsop to Seri to CB has worked over and over and over again
Looking on the 'bright side' of Seri's pass, Connolly wasn't on the pitch at the time. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Good opening spell where we didnt really create a whole lot but had a fair whack of possession. Conceded a sloppy goal, conceded and even sloppier goal but from the second goal for them going in we just got outfought and outmuscled
I didnt say re-picked the ball up Allsop dived to stop the cross and then picked the ball up what was the advantage of dropping the ball to his feet and wasting the advantage of throwing it out rather than passing to Jones 5 yards to his right or passing to Seri who was surrounded?
Talking to you is honestly like playing chess against a pigeon. I can make every correct move but you can just **** all over the board and strut your stuff as if you're correct. Closing comment is that mistakes happen. Playing out from the back has worked despite your soap box rally cries to the void. Stop being miserable. Lets hope we batter huddersfield with Seri playing 700 sideways passes to Jones.
you have given up trying to justify your desire for pointless passes you dont seem to realise that other teams play the ball out from the back quickly and create goalscoring chances
Thank god for AI. Hopefully it'll be less repetitive than this dumb bullshit. Or at least lt'll put us out of our ****ing misery
I dont have a desire for pointless passes. Nor do I think the sequence of play that led to their goal would have been pointless had it worked. I do realise teams play differently to us and some play more efficiently and some play less efficiently. Shockingly that comes with being in 9th position. You dont seem to realise that not every pass is going to be perfect and you're micro-analysing it. I've said where this team struggles isn't the sequence that led to their first goal its when they have broken the press (which they did a fair few times today) is the team wasting the ball by passing it back rather than driving it forward. Last few weeks that hasn't happened as we often tried everything to get it to Philogene to allow him to drive with the ball (we did it against Saints in build up to our goal by playing around the back and it finding him in space). Difference is today when we did play the ball well and broke their press and got out wide Traore, Twine or Coyle who operated in those spaces did nothing with it. We sorely missed Philogene and Slater as players willing to pick the ball when the space has opened up and drive with it. But sure pick out the first mistake we've made in a league game this season as the cataclysmic decline of this club
