Big chance for Ipswich to go 10 clear at Rotherham on Tuesday. Wonder what the gap will be when we meet on 23rd Dec? Single figures I hope!
think that sums it up.. can see the current top 4 pulling clear of the pack… but given the gap that leaves us looking at playoffs. Which as we know…
Relax lads, there's no way Ipswich will keep this up. They will have to have a bad patch at some point. Today could be the start of their wobble.
Before the weekend started we’d have all taken a two point gain on Ipswich. We started the weekend knowing a defeat and other results going against us we could have been 6th or 7th.. Ipswich have got to still play an in form WBA twice, a local Derby twice with Norwich and Leicester twice.
If Ipswich are still top 2 after Christmas then they might stay the course. They have a real run of tough games coming the next 8 weeks.
Farke’s teams get stronger second half of the season whilst Ipswich won’t keep up this pace. Also I doubt when injuries and suspensions hit they have the necessary strength in depth to cope. I have no doubt that Leeds will finish in the top two.
… Ipswich’ upcoming fixtures over the next month look pretty easy to me. Some Tough games at Christmas for sure. They’re not fluking results either. We might have won at their place on a day when we took our chances but they gave us the runaround more than any other opponent this season. Think we might have to accept they’re a well managed good side. Might have to hope their squad isn’t the best and they pick up a few key injuries.
The battle for promotion is not just a 3 horse race though with Southampton hot on our heals and now finding the consistency they lacked at the beginning of the season. Anyone want to add anyone else into the mix ?
We will win the league, second place will be between Leicester, WBA and Southampton, Ipswich will finish 5th-6th
Said earlier I think the top 4 will pull away. Boro, Sunderland, hull, maybe West Brom fighting for play offs.
Ipswich fixtures. 7/11 Rotherham (a) 11/11 Swansea (h) 25/11 West Brom (a) 29/11 Millwall (h) 2/12 Coventry (h) 9/12 Middlesbrough (a) 12/12 Watford (a) 16/12 Norwich (h) 23/12 Leeds (a) 26/12 Leicester (h) 29/12 QPR (h) 1/1 Stoke (a) December is a dreadful run of games for them with a small squad.
