the push the baby chicks into the water gp. the just drive round, open rear wing, sail by on corner 1 gp.
Red Bull somehow the only ones to realise they needed to get the lap in as quickly as possible. McLaren very much bottling it
Horrible feeling the Aston's are going to simply slow anyone behind them up enough that Verstappen/Leclerc can disappear up the road unchallenged.
If only the start of quali hadn't been delayed by 15 mins we would have had a decent quali. I don't get why teams don't get a banker lap in early on as they can see the possibility of rain coming. Then again on such a short circuit a banker lap probably wont help.
Don't worry, Ferrari will put a mixture of tyres on Charles' car during an inventive 7 stop, Plan R strategy.
knowing ferrari they will put a mixture on in the one pit stop and get dq. as I said grid positioning is not the end of the world unless you want to catch verstappen. the faster cars are going to Drs on by here all day. this is the track Hamilton all but passed the field in a combination of sprint and race when he changed his engine to have a massive power advantage.
Russel nailed for going slow in pit lane exit. He should have been made start the last one from pit lane given he liked it so much. Only 2 places but it buggers his race even more.
I think it was first part of sprint quali, Max was going slow towards last corner getting tyres ready for flying lap and Checo overtook him on the outside to do his flying lap. Max on the radio saying what the xxxx was Checo doing? The reply was we don't know, that wasn't what was planned! So it sounded to me like he was supposed to stay behind Max but he didn't follow instructions. IF his 2024 drive was still on the line I don't think he would be ignoring team orders! So I can only assume Checo is out of the Red Bull at the end of the year.
