People join the SNP for one reason only, Independence, the rank and file of the party are far more radical than the MSP's. My point is that it's far from as clear as the media would like to think it is, how people will vote when it matters remains to be seen. Even at the Rutherglen by-election that Labour won, the number of votes they won did not increase from the last election. The SNP voters just did not turn out. I will be surprised if the Scots return to Labour in large numbers. Although if Alba takes off and splits the vote that will change everything.
