Fair point, he's been overcompensating for his playing days from the moment he became a SkySports commentator. But he is getting worse and worse.

Carragher is nowhere near. He defends you lot to the hilt and spins the party line.

Genuinely can’t listen to either of them

Carra should have gone after spitting at a fan
    Disgusting behaviour that imho

Only popped in to see if you guys are discussing the board and stuff
Read a lot of what you guys have to say
    Clearly problems running deep
You have good players - you have a good manager
Lots of injuries which I do feel will change things but it just not working
Saw you discussing the wingers being on wrong sides
Never understood why bosses do that at the top level
I get why you do it just weird at this level

    Agree they're both terrible.

Tbh I find most on Sky and BT Sport or whatever it's called these days as cringe to listen to.

    Yes problems run deep.
    Yes we have good players.
Yes we have lots of injuries.
Yes we should at least try playing wingers on the right side.

BUT there is absolutely no excuse, NONE, why the quality of our football is ****ter than Luton's.

There's just NO excuse for being this bad. We should be able to stick out a weakened side and still put in a decent performance and beat sides in the bottom half of the table convincingly.

This is a combination of Van Gaal + Ole

IMO there is, yet again, a power play within the squad - certain players who want ETH out and are prepared to 'play badly' until they achieve their objective, and the rest, mostly the hungry youngsters who would bite their hand off for a chance to play regularly. At the heart of it is the Sancho issue, another part of the problem is the disciplinarian approach of ETH that some lazy ****ers don't like. How the **** we sort this one out without SAF turning up is beyond me.

If that is what’s going on dump all the players who are in that group
Show them none of them are bigger than the club and play your youth in the main
Sell the main ringleaders in Jan
I really don’t think the Sancho **** has helped

but I don’t really see how TH could have dealt with it any other way

I thought you looked okay first 15-20 of the second half and Newcastle were lethal with their 3rd which killed it.

    Okay's about right.

It's a typical display. Even when we play with urgency we'll play right up to the final third, then have zero clue about what to do next.

Even in those 20 mins we never looked like scoring.

We never created a single chance on goal and never looked like we could.

Cool heads are needed, but he has to do better. The football has to be better.

I think the players know the manager is doomed.

A few are going for it but the senior players don't seem arsed.

That could be the case aye.

I don't know why the effort isn't there. I'm not sure it's because of non-football stuff.

I think it's more the fact they either don't understand or don't believe in what they're being asked to do.

Why else are they getting petulant on the pitch and walking off with faces looking like a slapped arse?

I don't think they like the manager.

I expect he's really strict and he's sucked all the fun and morale out the team.

Probably a few are not happy with the Sancho situation.

Also enormous pressure and expectation level that just doesn't match the talent available.

It hurts like **** to see players like Rashford on £300k plus per week - £1.2 million a month, barely jogging on the pitch. I suppose that is the enduring problem within the club, how many times have players been gifted massive contracts for five years then sat back on their arses , counting their cash, knowing that we can't move them on because no other clubs can afford their wages.

We need to completely change the culture, to be ruthless. We need to maintain a spine of experienced players an add youth and energy from the academy or from shrewd transfers. We should be aiming to cycle players in and out every two or three years, rejuvenating the squad and bringing in players who can play the style of the moment. This utter bollocks of signing the likes of Rashford on a 5 year contract is bollocks.
