“It has been brilliant for me being out on loan because I’m playing first-team football, but I want to go back in January and see what the club say about what happens next.

“I would love to push on and try to challenge for a place in the United squad. I got in a little last year, but the fact I’m playing regularly now should help."

fair play to the lad, if united are keeping a close eye on him and they've already told him they want him back. not sure if he's good enough to break into the united team.. actually right now, he's not good enough. his best bet is to stay on loan with us.

he also says.. "I’m not too sure if the loan will be extended at Hull because I think there are a couple more options."

    other options ?

Well he IS a Utd player, and you can't knock him for wanting to play for SAF (Im not suggesting you are knocking him btw!). Same with any loanee's really, we'd only ever get to keep the ones not good enough for the Utd squad. We benefit from giving them game time. Utd benefits from them playing and developing.

I think his other options comment really relates to hoping for a new contract and to be playing at Old Trafford, like you say really, fair play to him :)

Plus of course, its a really great incentive for any of the loanees to work their arses off, what's awesome for us might still not be good enough for Utd!

the interview without the mis quotes and inference.

“This season has been my best yet. I’m enjoying it and hopefully it can keep getting better.

“I get a lot of feedback from Manchester United. They come and watch me a lot on loan at Hull. I’ll go back in January and see what the story is. I’m not too sure if the loan will be extended at Hull because I think there are a couple more options.

“They want to bring me back in January to discuss a contract and we’ll see what the next move is then.”

“It has been brilliant for me being out on loan because I’m playing first-team football, but I want to go back in January and see what the club say about what happens next.

“I would love to push on and try to challenge for a place in the United squad. I got in a little last year, but the fact I’m playing regularly now should help.

“It would be a dream come true to play for United and that is what I want to do. The possibility of getting in and around the squad for the second half of the season would be fantastic.”

We still signed 4 out of 5. Ravel Morrison to replace him anyone?

Garcia & Devitt will be back anyway.

    Lets cut the crap here.

Brady is young, fast, immensely talented and immature.

I hate the phrase usually but in this case it really does apply: he can only get better.

Yes, he is off form at the moment, but that will change.

City should do EVERYTHING in their power to a) sign him permanently in Jan or b) get him for another loan period.

Oh, and comparing him to Garcia is ridiculous. I love Garce but when was the last time anyone saw him beat a player for sheer pace? When was the last time anyone saw him drop his shoulder and cut inside to rifle a shot into the top corner? As as for comparing him to Devitt...........do me a favour!

Garcia will be a good squad player again, Barmby's comments about him were very interesting.

Brady could be a great player as he matures. I'd love us to sign him.

We've done very well out of Utd so far: Chester, Stewart, Dudgeon and Evans (in that order). Some Utd fans seem to think letting Dudgeon go wasn't the best idea.

Whoa, chill out! You've totally misinterpreted my post.

When I mentioned Garcia and Devitt coming back... losing Brady would mean that we practically have no wingers, so they would provide good cover. Although I have to say, I personally believe that Devitt is hugely underrated and would be much better off on loan at either a promotion-fighting League 1 club or a divisional rival in a relegation dogfight.

I agree with your a) and b), but it is simply not happening. Rather than talk about the obvious <<< I chose to aim my post at other options.

Dudgeon is under-rated, he's been one of our best players in the last few games. Puts hit body in frotn of anything and no one gets past him (except maybe Stewart in training) He's good going forward as well and never stops running, he's the complete full back for this division, kind of like a Championship, left-sided Micah Richards.

When has Brady done that for us?
    He's scored 1. Which was a cross.

Lets not kid ourselves, yes he is talented, no question. Extending his loan can do no harm for both us and Manchester United, however, I think we can do better on signing him on a perm.
For me, I don't think he does a real lot. He gets the ball, quick feet, skillful, but when he gets to the bar line or to a crossing position, its wasted. Blazed straight over the bar or a shot straight at the keeper.
He wont get into the Manchester United team, I can assure you that.

I agree he won't get into the United team. But that's the only thing I agree with.

All im saying is there is a lot of room for improvement in the final third from Brady. Simple as that.

How can you possibly say that Atkinson and Devitt are on the same level?
Devitt is a good crosser of the ball, has a decent shot, decent intelligence. He just doesn't have any strength or pace.

My nan is better than Atkinson.

but ... this isnt all you were saying ?!?! you just basically slagged him off in the previous msg.

Theres nowt wrong with his ambition , especially as his words were first and foremost meant to be digested by those at O.T ,, cut him a bit of slack

I agree with all that. More often than not, no end product, greedy in possession. I'd say he's a mile off getting anywhere near the first team. More opportunities = Leicester City?

I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if Man U have a clause in the transfer contract that they get first refusal on him, should he make the grade.
