We're seeing a return to tribalism Frenchie. This is expressing itself in many areas and is probably a reaction to the assumption of Western Universalism that it was the only logical way forward and that all other ideologies were dead.

I would say that the Palestinians are more Semitic BB. Most of the real Zionists came from a European background and over 2,000 years had become European - I mean could you look at a picture of Albert Einstein or Rosa Luxemburg or Karl Marx and say they belonged in the Middle East ? Of course none of the 3 were Zionists (Einstein and most intelligent Jews hated the idea). But they certainly didn't look as ''Semitic'' as eg. Yassar Arafat or most other Palestinians. So ''Anti Semitic'' is far more accurately applied to anti Arab sentiment. the problem is it's become such a buzz word, and the Jews have taken it over for themselves. So much so that you only need to whisper the word and it's enough to destroy people's careers. Yet the far more prevalent Anti Ziganism remains a word most people don't know the meaning of - yet is the deepest prejudice which Europeans have.

Tory MPs are apparently plotting to get rid of Sunak next month - if they succeed, the UK will be getting its fourth leader in the space of 14 months.

They'll have to change the name Westminster to Watford...;)

Believe it or not but those were what we used for toilet paper when I worked in the bush for the Queensland Forestry.

    They worked a treat too.:)

You'd be surprised how heavy & inconveniently sized toilet rolls are when you try to cart them around in 45-50 degree heat. Much easier & more convenient to have a few packs of *** papers in your back pocket.
Much safer than using clumps of grass too - you never know what's hiding in them.

A Bill proposed by that little Tory sh*t Gove - the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill.

If, for example, any country decides to stop purchasing goods or services from Israel until their actions against Palestine cease, if passed in parliament, this would prevent Councils here from doing the same.

The sooner we're shot of this bunch the better...<grr>

The day after Peter Bone, was suspended from Westminster for six weeks for bullying and flashing, Crispin Blunt is arrested on rape and being in possession of drugs. What sort of people elect Tories who behave in this way. It should be said that although arrested, Blunt has not as yet been charged.

He's the creep who spoke out against the conviction of Labour MP Imran Khan for sexually assaulting a guy - an act that casts suspicion on him straight away. He has already announced that he's not standing for election - should just resign and quietly disappear in my opinion.

Along with the opening of their ground offensive the Israelis have cut off nearly all internet connections in the Gaza Strip, soon the only information coming out will be only what the Netanyahu government wants us to hear.

I have been watching a bit of the questioning of Johnson's PPS at the covid inquiry, who appears to have a serious problem with memory loss. Apart from being shown up to not always giving straight answers, he also is blaming everyone else in an attempt to get himself and Johnson to a lesser extent off the hook. Quite why Johnson when he needed to make big decisions on lockdowns consulted Lord Lebedev, remains a secret for now. I suspect this will come back again.

“We’re killing the patient to tackle the tumour”
"Large ppl [numbers of people] who will die – why are we destroying economy for people who will die anyway soon". Johnson or Sunak.

“Eat out to help out” scheme “Eat out to help out the virus”. Chris Whitty
