Is he a Heel or a Babyface these days, I forget ;)

Looking at his testimony so far, it's clear where he thinks the blame lies. The Cabinet Office, mainly.

There's a massive difference between proposals for a possible future government ...

... and U-turns that actually affect us immediately.

The U-turn on HS2 is wasting millions, costing jobs and affecting people's lives.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he understands calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, but argued it was not the "correct position" at the moment.

More than 60 Labour MPs have called for a ceasefire, but Sir Keir insisted his stance of calling for a humanitarian pause was "the only credible approach".

He said a pause would allow aid to get in to Gaza and for civilians to leave.

He argued that a ceasefire would leave Hamas's infrastructure intact, enabling them to carry out future attacks.

Ooh, there's an interesting phrase - 'not politically viable'.

From Cain to Johnson when Johnson points out proven facts that could have changed the approach.

The government stopped the rail companies from closing ticket offices.

The Boris plan . . . . let the old die an agonising death, and allow younger folk to party on and create herd immunity <grr>

We all know that the government was trying to deal with a hitherto unknown man made disease accidentally released in China, but this inquiry exposes the whole of the government machine as a shambles . . . . a huge group of men and women (not just Boris) unfit for the job. Not a single one displayed any leadership qualities to speak of. I'm now guessing that Boris' memoirs will be published later than first planned.

As Boris himself said "Let the bodies pile up in their thousands in the streets" iirc. The first duty of ANY government is to protect it's citizens.

Not a surprise that you've gone for the most sixth form of takes.

In the real world, what we knew about the virus was increasing all the time, and once it became clear that it wasn't necessarily a death sentence for anyone (my Dad had loads wrong with him, lungs and liver knackered, right in the most at risk age bracket. By all we were being told, COVID should have killed him the first time. He caught it and beat it three times) there was a discussion to be had about how we could release those less at risk to keep the economy, social cohesion, mental health, children's educations etc. going while protecting those most vulnerable.

Instead the political decision was made, with all parties in collusion, to lock the country up and give them free money. Which we're seeing the fallout from now, and will for decades to come. There's a very good argument that the cure will end up being worse than the disease.

What an absolute snake Johnson is.

Applauding the exhausted NHS staff for a cheap photo opportunity, being saved from near death by the NHS and claiming all the credit for giving the NHS the Nightingale hospitals ... but pulling the NHS to pieces, and calling them liars, in private.

    Indefensible ...

... but, no doubt, his little fan club will try.

Johnson said in 2020 that he “no longer buys all this NHS overwhelmed stuff”.

    2020
Boris Johnson has revealed that doctors prepared to announce his death as he battled coronavirus, ending up in intensive care, last month.

    2020

Boris Johnson gives £3bn to Nightingale hospitals to fight possible second wave. Boris Johnson was spending a second night in intensive care as the NHS Nightingale Hospital built in London to boost capacity during the coronavirus pandemic admitted its first patients.

    2020
For a second week in a row, people up and down the country stood at their front doors, outside their windows, on balconies in high-rises, to clap, cheer and bang pots and pans for those working on the frontline of the fight against coronavirus. The prime minister, Boris Johnson, who is still in self-isolation, stepped out of No 10 to clap.

421 days. You'd think he was still PM the way his actual fan club - that's the people who cannot stop talking about him - go on.

*Details of how government failed to deal with COVID effectively at all levels revealed*

Actual Fan Club - 'Boris Boris Boris Boris Boris Boris Boris Boris Boris Boris'

He's still playing you like a fiddle, boys. Look at him, and not what everyone else is failing at.

Overwhelmed but the NHS staff still had time in hospitals up and down the country to treat us all to dancing TikTok videos.

There's so much **** being slung, from so many angles. Throw in a toxic working environment and witnesses who are are deflecting and covering their own backs, it's hard to keep up.
I think there's far more to come, and while I hate to form early judgements I've started wondering if anyone will come out of this intact.
