Seeing Barnard finally come on after all this time was great today. I think he was our "best" player last season and so think he could be a real asset in the following months. Looking at him he did seem a bit down and I think it'll take a bit of time before he gets up to speed, which was always gonna be the case. What did you think of how he played today? - I was too busy trying to see the anguish strewn across Poyet's face. COYR!!
It would have gladdened my heart if he could have scored today, for the short time he was on the pitch. From what I could hear, from the commentary, he hasn't totally lost his eye for goal. BTW, he's been playing in the under 18s for a few weeks, as an over age player, so he's almost upto speed. I reckon he'll be alright.
gonna be a while till he match fit having missed so long but so glad to see him back ! hes been playing for u21s gradually longer and longer so give him time he will get there and start banging the goals back in - he was quality last yer

but then again, jaidi and barnard were originally just "a couple of weeks" so i dont know what to expect from it
I don't think barny will be truly back to his best until a verdict is given on his case. Imagine the effect that must have on everything that he does.
but he played virtually all of last season with that looming over him as well, and he was bloody brilliant
