It's a very arrogant attitude, especially given they know very well they do not have any support from the public, or they would stand for election. It's clear from the spokes people they churn out that they have little to no understanding of the issues.Net zero aptly describes their knowledge. All of which suggests that their goal is nothing at all to do with the environment and oil simply serves as an excuse to disrupt democracy.

Don't think it works like that. They have to be neutered and kept muzzled and on a lead in public for the rest of their lives, as I understand it: which means the few responsible owners - whose bullies were well kept, exercised, and socialised in my experience of meeting them walking my late Lab - will comply, and the Traveller community who keep and breed the worst of them for fighting and posing and will just ignore the orders. All that said, I have absolutely no idea why somebody who wants a big dog for walking and guarding and suchlike would want such a dog rather than a Lab, a Shepherd, or a retriever (or a Dobermann, which are bloody sweethearts in my experience). As said, I'd rather keep the dogs and euthanise the ****ing owners in most cases like these.
One of my colleagues has an American Bully. No idea why she bought that breed, except she lives on an estate and it probably helps if the local scumbags know that thing's in the house. Point is, she loves the dog, and so do her kids, it's part of the family. As always, it's the owners not the dog who cause problems. It would be cruel and unnecessary imo to wipe out hundreds of dogs, because a small handful of owners can't be trusted.
