Seems like pressure is growing on him to change his stance. Will be interesting to see what he does next. I am no Starmer fan but I have been impressed by his resilience and determination to stick with his original stance.
I'm not a big Starmer fan tbh, but that's because I've not paid him much attention so far. Opposition parties, especially when facing huge majorities, are mostly irrelevant and put out various policies to gauge reactions. However he does seem earnest and I can't imagine him lying, sponging and cheating the way Johnson did. (I ignore the latest two PMs as they're basically irrelevant squad players who came in through suspensions and injuries.) He may change stance occassionally but I'd rather have that than Boris's tendency to take us all for gullible fools captivated by his charm. My position on Israel is that they're fanatical zealots intent on revenge and unconcerned with the carnage they're creating. Absolutely despicable and just as bad as Hamas ... ... the difference is that one is supposed to be a proud State we should respect and the other is a bunch of crazed bigoted terrorists we can't respect. At the moment I can't tell the difference.
