From my (very old) knowledge of Islanders' allegiances, it depends on whether it was easier to get to Ryde, for the Portsmouth ferry, or East or West Cowes, for the ferry to the promised land, aka Southampton. As I lived in East Cowes, I could walk to the Southampton ferry, so I started supporting Saints. Many Ryde inhabitants, plus those from the towns served by the Island Line train, found it easier to catch the ferry from Ryde, so ended up on the road to hell, as Pompey fans.
I can't speak for Islanders who were closer to Yarmouth, for the ferry to Lymington - they could then head for Southampton, or Bournemouth. Additionally, Schrodinger's Cat is very accurate - I am a pensioner, in common with everyone else still on the Island <whistle>

Been to the new den 4 times, once with saints, once in the away end with Portsmouth (don't ask) and twice in the home end. As long as you aren't behaving stupidly, you are probably safer doing this one than others (Charlton may be an for example). You get into South Bermondsey from London Bridge, (which is a decent bet for drinks beforehand), shepherded into the away fan cage which goes straight to the visiting supporters entrance. Then same again in reverse on the way back, but they tend to put away fans on separate trains back to London Bridge. If you get the train (or probably even club coach) the closest you will get to the home fans is in the ground. I actually live about 10 minutes from their ground and whilst there of course a few who try to ruin it for everyone else (we all have those), the hysteria around Millwall as a club is a little ridiculous these days.

Agree with your point generally but there are no trains running this weekend so replacement buses instead which I can see being a nightmare.

Main problems with Millwall now are their big games which attract the once or twice a season morons. Hardly anything happens at their bog standard matches.

You can't leave that Pompey comment there without explaining haha

I appreciate you are giving good advice for everyone Saint but my post was a light hearted play on Millwall's reputation. I actually thought that story was quite incredible and in a way it does illustrate how "hard" they are.
I would have gone there back when we went to a lot of away games no problem it's just the timing wasn't right in truth. I go to matches with Mrs Game and she's harder than me so it would have been ok anyway.

Tell me about Charlton, I haven't heard anything about them.

Can you change this prediction as I don't think my heart can take 2-3...?

Unfortunately, the universe has spoken. We will be 3-1 if it helps and it will only be heart stopping for the 9 mins of injury time.

    2 out of 14 if that's so it's 14.29% correct. Where's Paul jnr?

But @thereisonlyoneno7 may have only been predicting the last two matches, not the last fourteen (I can't be bothered to check). As such, he may have a 100% prediction record.

We did a new kitchen with a stupid island in the middle - now it is nearly impossible to win without cheating. Though I may try as there is no VAR this year.

VAR free is OK by me, some say we have benefited from the lack of it.

It's lucky Tom didn't say this, otherwise we'd be in line for several matches turning against us, on dodgy refereeing decisions...
