Is Bruce's subs. Why Elmo on for so long? What's the point of making subs so late on? He does it all the time and the player has practically no chance to make an impact, 88th minute Noble came on, what was stopping him from doing it a lot earlier? His movement could have won us the game.

    Oh well.

We need to be a lot more attacking in our up coming games, if we play 1 upfront the entire time Wickham's out then I will cry.

Bruce was obviously watching the same game as Tony Cottee who said Elmo was our best player???

I thought Elmo and Ji when he came on were the 2 worst players on the pitch. He should have bought Nobel on instead of Ji.

It's just silly. In a stalemate, you'd think he'd use all subs to try and get a clear opening?

I seen more eagerness from Noble in 5 minutes than I have seen from all of our strikers put together all season.

Easy answer to the OP, sub so late to waste time, so as not to lose.

its because steve bruce is a tactical genius and only knows how to do his substitutions one way and that is to wait until either the 70th minute before throwing on a centre forward or to wait until they score and then throw on 2 centre forwards he is totally clueless!!!!

You're forgetting the best pasrt, when you're chasing a goal bring on a striker and give the fans a false sense of hope, only to play the striker on the wing and the winger up front. Pure ****ing genius.

I support Sunderland, it's not like I'm slagging off Sunderland. I support them so I want the best for them, Bruce is most certainly not best for the club. He's in danger of ruining our premier league future. Do you support Sunderland? You seem content to continue watching the ****e Bruce serves us quietly.
