Yes they could, and it will most likely lead to a repeat of most seasons in recent memory where they make the play offs and immediately lose against any semi decent team
Yeah it’s just frustrating as it is Groundhog Day every year. If they go anything from 6-11 or higher I imagine they will extend Cousins aswell
TBH the way Cousins is playing that's not a bad option. The obvious downside is his salary but he's playing as good as he's ever been right now.
Extending Cousins, going heavy on O-Line and defence in free agency and draft is my prediction for next years off season. Flores is obviously a top defensive coordinator and this is arguably the worst defensive unit talent wise in the league which he is making look half decent. The talent on the offence, bar interior O-Line (and running back but who cares about running back) is pretty good, so I can definitely see them re-rolling with Cousins and doing that
Cousins gets injured on a nothing 3rd and 20 and then they get the field goal blocked. How very Vikings
Season is over. I should feel happier about beating the Packers, especially in green bay, but I do not feel happy. Maybe Hall won't be terrible? Looks mobile and his one completed pass was nice, but obviously most of his plays were running plays so hard to judge.
Cousins snapped his Achilles is the early rumour, means can take a proper look at Hall at least and see if he could potentially be a starter going forward.
Adam Johnson, ice hockey player, dies after throat slashed during playing in Sheffield Just seen reported earlier. Tragic
It's just awful. I saw the video of the incident (which I don't recommend to anyone) - but it makes you wonder if there might be criminal charges incoming for the opposing player.
Or alternatively they are going to do something ****ing stupid and trade away high draft picks for an average at best QB when this team has got very little chance of a deep playoff run
If they are going to get a veteran QB in either go down the free agent route or trade for a back up. Keenum is third choice QB at the Texans and last time he played in Minnesota it turned out ok. Dallas would probably hold us to ransom for Lance so not expecting that to happen. Dalton intrigues me. I watched him live when the Saints played the Vikings in London last year and he played quite well.
Dalton is the main one that makes sense with cap space and affordability taken into consideration, but ultimately it depends what it is going to cost to get any of them. Dalton isn’t that good, competent at best, so I’d rather just let Hall have the rest of the season to see if there is anything there. You’d think Dalton wouldn’t cost more than a 6th rounder but if the Vikings are looking to trade for a QB then teams will assume they are desperate and hike up the price.
Not sure why it's being described as a tragic accident. I unfortunately saw a video of the incident and clearly looks like an assault to me. Bloke should be charged with murder.
