We cant say that for sure mate. Mowbray sees these lads day in day out, talks to them, sees body language, fitness levels, how they are fitting in. He has come from a country at war, maybe he has struggled to leave people behind. Who knows, probably Mowbray, but not me. If a lad is struggling in training then he shouldnt play, unless he has been a regular in the past and the coaches know what he can do on matchdays. I was excited as anyone when we signed Rusyn, but I have no problem being patient with him while he settles in.

I did and still do to be honest. I think it impossible it doesnt have an impact tbh. It isnt just a case of getting on the pitch and playing. It is all about detail in coaching sessions, team meetings, video analysis. He cant possibly take everything in like say Roberts did when he first arrives.

I am sure it is not the only reason he hasnt played much sooner. He arrived injured and we should maybe give some credit to the lad bearing in mind what is going on in his country.

Yes mate, sorry to you, Smithy and everyone else, just being sarcastic ...

... I was on a train from Newcastle and sharing a carriage with a dozen Jock-Mackems, from Inverkeithing, who were falling out and lurching into Catholic/Protestant insults. There were normal people, in the carriage, getting upset so I had to take a risk and intervene ... not the least bit funny.

Even worse was a hen night of fat drunken tarty lasses popping their tits out, I don't know which was worse tbh.

I was cheesed off with the instantaneous negativity, as soon as the game ended, from people who ignore the 90% they don't see, in training, meetings, etc, and decide they know better than Mowbray and the coaches based on YouTube clips and guesswork. If all the players were in the first team, that supporters have demanded, we'd have 18 on the pitch or just Patterson, Clarke and Ballard left from those they want dropped.

I'm all for debate and opinions but it's tiresome continually hearing people claiming they know best about selection, tactics, substitutions, etc.

Opinions stated as fact are just opinions ... as they say about *rolling a turd in glitter <laugh>

No need to apologise mate. That train journey sounds fun <doh>

Opinions are great on this board. Love the debate. We cant all be right, but I suspect we all believe 100% in our opinions. I am good with that. If we all thought the same it would be dull.

There is only one thing missing from our clubs fans, that’s patience.

Always been so and my late father always called our support out on this as an outsider.

I agree mate but, to be fair, it's not our job to be patient.

I'm just like everyone else, I want it all to click now and in every game.

But I see progress as continuing to let the club, manager, coaches, analysts, scouts and players carry on up the road we're on ...

... not keep changing everything on the back of a couple of games.

It's laughable, to me, that people want to go back to playing two giant centre backs, at home, to combat aerial bombardments you very rarely see ...

    ... Luton have gone.

Hume scored yesterday because of the way the defence is encouraged to play out ...

... how many goals and assists did Batth contribute or was ever likely to, one of each from memory. Seriously, we can't win games relying on defending.

And if you now play Seelt, and drop O'Nien, the club captain is on the bench because there's no place for him in the team.

If that's what people want that's their opinion, I'm just glad Mowbray disagrees.

Didn't get on the ball that much but showed excellent movement across the front line that created the space for Neil's goal. Did far more than Burstow would have. Would keep him in the 11 personally.

You could play Seelt and O/9 in the same team thanks to O/9,s versatility surely its not one or the other,, but I take your point.

Make your own mind up - videos posted above.
He ran around a lot, had 13 touches in 70 odd minutes.
Hemir had 11 touches in 20 odd minutes.

Would you consider playing Burstow/Hemir and Rusyn with Jobe taking a break.

Nah. Need Prichard in there to retain the ball and use the space that Rusyn creates.

I dont like pritchard starting games normally as feel hes better coming off the bench but id agree with this for the next game

Rusyn's runs in behind will give pritchard the space he needs

Wyscout rank players based on stats for each position, thought id share where a few of our lads are rated.

No surprise but Clarke is rated as the best winger in the league

Ballard is rated the 2nd best CB in the league, Vestergaard is rated higher but this will be because of how many more passes hes completed than ballard.

Neil is rated as the 3rd best CM, dewburys-hall is no1 n sara of norwich is 2nd.

Hume is the next highest ranked player at no8 for all fullbacks but only 3 RBs are ahead of him, patterson is no11 for GKs

Jobe was top 10 for CMs as well

O9 ranked as no20 CBs and huggins 23rd for fullbacks

Burstow seems to have a good first touch, can hold the ball and, as we saw against Southampton, can hit a pass.

He reminds me of Jobe in some ways ... and not just cos I can't tell them apart!

I could picture him behind Rusyn with them switching on occassions.depending on the game, it would give defenders something to think about.

Just a passing thought although I think Mowbray would chuckle at the idea <laugh>
