I'm so glad the Pompey fans didn't start throwing tennis balls at this point to get the match abandoned

I was very pleased Devlin got a goal. We have seen him in two complete games now. One EFL trophy game where he played a mid field role and on Saturday when he played further forward. His touch is a little clumsy and I do not think he is quite up to the pace of first team football yet. The only remedy for that is more first team football! However, in both games ( in which he played two very different roles) he appeared to have the habit of being in the correct position to receive the ball. On Saturday he ha a couple of other chances which did not result in goals - but he was in the right position. Both Devlin and Saydee are somewhat raw talents with differing qualities but I think Devlin has the edge at this stage and should be persevered with.
