    Really positive week.
Even the loss against Southampton I thought we played well.
    6th I’ll take that.

This forum is really weird sometimes, the way we run away with things. One person says with no detail that he's heard something about Connolly and suddenly loads of people are saying we shouldn't have signed him. He's still our top scorer ffs! I don't see that there needs to be any explanation for why he hasn't been playing much lately. We have a lot of good attackers and they can't all be on the pitch. Same reason we've not seen much of Tufan yet since his injury, same reason Traore only plays about half of games and Lokilo less than that. Same reason we don't see Sinik at all. If we had more injuries we'd need all these players but thankfully right now we have loads of attacking options. The other scenario is when we need a goal, you'd see Connolly on then, but last two games we've been holding onto a lead and had no need to throw a striker on.

We have had players previously who could have scored a goal like that. Not many though.

Hawley, Deano, Delaney (as per earlier post) , Barmby, Jay Jay, Geovanni, Brady, Koren, Bowen, Grosziki, KLP to name but a few.

But the kid is exciting as much as he is frustrating at times.

    He could be phenomenal.

I was watching AC closely in the warm-up and something didn't seem right about his body language. He looked a bit narked. Also, I could have sworn he afforded himself a little snigger when Seri missed a shot in practice. I really hope I've read it all wrong.

I’m ITK but as many people on here recognise, I can’t actually say anything definitive.

But what I can say re: Connolly is that I’ve heard some nasty type of rumoury type of stuff that, if true, you will* (*might eventually) hear about. But, of course, if it’s not, then you probably won’t.

I’m really sticking my neck out here so if you don’t like it, then don’t read it.

He really must think our place is a bogey ground, always injured when he comes near it.

I feared the old club suckerpunch a lot less when he went off.

A great end to a busy week, probably yesterday the worst performance of the 3, not bad, but I think we played better in the other 2. 6 points from the week I would have gladly taken before it started.

Nothing more to be said that hasn't already been said about Jaden, the boy is class, and we are so lucky to have the pleasure to watch him in a City shirt.

The back 4 again were very good, Jones a tad lucky with the penalty shout which could have been given, though I did feel it was six of one and half a dozen of the other with the challenge.

Seri as good as ever, big shout out for Traore who filled in very well into Morton's role. Twine had a solid game, worked his socks off, he just needs to get one of these free kicks to succeed.

I thought early on Delap was going to punish them, played well, but just didn't manage to get into goal scoring areas. Lokilo was good also, interesting him moving more into the middle 2nd half, that seem to work quite well.

Finally, Allsop, well Liam really did know what he was doing signing him, the ball at his feet as well as shot stopping, as Liam would put it, have been top. He really does look comfortable playing out with his feet, a pleasure to watch.

Back into the top 6, and a week now to recover and get ready for West Brom, I think we are in for an exciting season.

So players being competitive and expecting a high standard from each other means he has a bad attitude and went off at the manager? Jesus.

I suppose there's a possibility that something like this has happened.

I was delighted when we finally got his deal over the line as I see him as a very decent player and thought at the time that he would be one of the first names on the teamsheet.Of course things haven't quite worked out like that and Delap looks the more likely on form to be selected in front of him.

Sometimes players see the situation entirely differently and voice their opinion and sometimes it boils over.'If' he has kicked off to the extent you've described then I'm puzzled as to why he was on the subs bench but maybe it's been dealt with in house.

I see Rosenior as a fairly straightforward coach who won't accept or tolerate any nonsense and certainly not the type of lad who'll buckle to player pressure in terms of team selection?

I genuinely hope this has been a non-event because Connolly will have his part to play as the season progresses..

Always found it odd that Seri came out publicly with comments about that one.
