What a good semi-final tonight with England almost making the final.

That was very unlucky for England - on top for most of the game .

Played well generally but caught out at the end after the scrum changes.

Guess it shows why SA are champions for now.

Nearly a very embarrassing weekend of sport for England. After their defeats in cricket & rugby union yesterday, they faced Tonga in St Helens for the first game of a three match Rugby League series. Although winning the match 22-18, they nearly blew it - saved only when a fumble stopped Tonga from scoring right at the end.

Magnificent innings from Glenn Maxwell - 106 from 44 balls, including a record century from 40 balls. Rather overshadowed a second consecutive century by David Warner.

Can't see the Dutch getting anywhere near the 400 they require to win.

Dutch all out for 90. A fairly comprehensive defeat...

To think when I left for work they had taken 4 quick wickets to put themselves back in the game .

How things can turn - certainly Australias form has.

What a gutless performance by England - their 156 all out total overhauled in just 25 overs by Sri Lanka, with 8 wickets to spare. If they continue like this, they'll be lucky to qualify for the next finals series...

Must be all but out with the Aussies and India to play.

    What a disaster!

Usually get home from work in time to watch a bit but cannot even manage that.

Not like we can even say the defeats have been close.

A good game taking place at a sold out Stade de France. Both sides seem to be wanting to entertain as well as win. 10 - 16 to England at HT.

Full time in Paris and a 26 - 23 win for England. Very tight between the two sides, and despite not getting to the final, this game meant a lot to both sides.

Cricket's Battle of the Antipodes gearing up for a close finish. NZ need 43 runs from 20 balls to win, with 2 wickets left.

NZL 6 - 12 RSA at half time, with NZL a man short having received a red card. Not as entertaining as the third place play off, but rather more at stake.

Suppose if any team can win with 14 men it's the All Blacks.

Pundits said it was a red so guess the right decision

5live saying it was a shame it’s in a final but that probably shouldn’t matter really .

Certainly glad we have communication heard to get the explanation.

Maybe don’t always get the right call or agree but you can understand why it’s been given .

South Africa hold on to be Champions again.

    Congratulations to them .

All Blacks did very well with 14 men tbf - probably should have won !

It just wasn't NZ's day. First the cricket and now the rugby.
