So all communications in Gaza cut. UN can't contact their humanitarian workers in Gaza. Palestinians who are injured can't contact medical services, and ambulances haven't had contact with hospitals. Innocent people are literally starving and have no contact with the outside world. The outside world has no communication to see what's happening inside. There are barbaric animals on all sides.
Bollocks - International law is absolutely clear on occupation of foreign territories and on the cutting off of food, water, power and medical supplies ... both of which, Israel has done, and is doing ...
I know people like to focus their attentions on Israel, but I remember Russia virtually wiping Mariupol off the map, well 90% of it to be more exact, but it rarely touched conversations within not606, certainly not on the level Israel has attracted. So why is that, well probably because less than a couple of thousand were slaughtered, but it's widely suggested the figure is way higher than that, and runs into tens of thousands. I've seen several publications that suggested at the time, at least 100,000 dead - lots of bodies left under buildings or later thrown in mass graves and never identified, once the bulldozers moved it. Human corpses treated like garbage, way before this most recent war and there will probably never ever be justice for those dead, a new city will rise from the ashes, under a different occupation and everything will be hunky dory, like nothing ever happened.
That's because as I have mentioned before, people have chosen this hill to die on and consider anything else to be irrelevant. They also have spent more time googling this conflict and therefore feel a bit more confident chatting about it. Then you have the added factor that in the Ukraine instance, a Western ally has clearly been attacked and NATO are doing a good thing supporting them, most people enjoy slamming the West for everything all the time and feel uncomfortable doing anything different.
Did do ... yes Isreal has the right to retaliate... ... WITHIN the constraints of International Law ... you can't twist that right under a blanket of 'retaliation' can include fragrant breaches of International law ... in order to justify what is happening now ... Israel has deliberately suppressed all means of communication in and out of Gaza so that its actions can't be filmed or reported ...
Obviously if the West had not helped Ukraine, also if they had been told to roll over, the Russian tanks would have just rolled in and have been welcomed with bouquets of flowers, and those one hundred thousand would have still been alive. Afterall it use to belong to the USSR, if we were to follow the same history rules that have been applied on here of late. Same with Gaza really, if the 7th October 2023 had never happened, and Hamas stopped firing thousands of rockets into Tel Aviv, while hiding behind civilians, but strangely history was more important in this situation on here. I could suggest that on here. it's because Israel don't matter and the Ukraines Independence is somehow important, but that's just the cynic in me, sorry I need to go find my history books now, see what other lies they tell me.
Yeah, I said in the post after to Aber that the "retaliation" that could be justified after a terrorist attack would be the elimination of those terrorists. I then said, however, Israel have gone ****ing nuts, bombing everything in sight, cutting off food and medicine and that is disgusting. So we completely agree, you just freak the **** out because you sniffed a bit of nuance with that fox nose of yours and again, interpreted that as a defence of war crimes.
I did frame that in the context that neither side have the right to attack citizens. Armed resistance is supposed to be between combatants deliberately targeting innocent civilians and the subsequent hell unleashed by Israel on the civilian population of Gaza is ****ing abhorrent.
Yeah, agreed. Like I said later, whatever ****ing retaliation can be allowed is kinda irrelevant when you cut off food, medicine and water to 2 million people.
Welshie's probably been the most balanced and impartial poster on here re the middle east conflict. I think we have to stop thinking everyone is polarised on one side and completely against the other just because we don't all see eye to eye on everything. Most if not all just want these endless killings to stop.
You keep saying mate but you don't mention the daily hell unleashed on the Israeli citizens with the rockets sent from Gaza?
