I got shot down in flames, by a couple of here, (naming no names) when I said losing Elder was a bad move...Okay, I said in the spirit of togetherness. 'I'll hold my hand up and bow if the replacement(s) are better.' You haven't seen me with my hand raised or my back bent.....Vindicated?

Which is what I wrote. The tickets City paid for FC games and which remained unsold were included in the figures under an arrangement AP made when owner of City and Chairman of the SMC. It was costing City £200,000 a year until Assem Allam put a stop to it.

I maybe in a camp of one here but I think Vinagre looks a real classy player but it’s just not happening for him at the minute, for whatever reason.

He’s got great touch, drives forward well reminiscent of Robertson, good ball control, reasonably fast. Just keeps getting caught with silly things defensively and lacking the final ball at the other end.

Definitely wouldn’t write him off yet.

His best performance was against Leicester, definitely got something there. We had Slater in the midfield though that game so we had more energy in the middle to help deal with things. Without that we have Seri and Morton who’s first thought is ball playing, albeit Seri is looking fitter and fitter every game. Greaves just gives us that extra edge at the back.

What's the latest on Morton?...Is the kid fit?
If not I guess that Doc will be in the starting XI, though Id be more inclined to play Tufan, however that could leave us light so maybe Doc for the square pegs in square holes gig.

His decision making is awful, I don't think I've seen him put in a single decent cross, and he's a defensive liability.

He’s just so one footed too, predictable in attack

If it's the Tufan who started the season then yes please - if it's the Tufan who came on against Southampton I'll take Doc all day long

A win today and we are likely to be fifth in the table based on current form of others.
They've had three losses and two draws.
With our home form and their away form, it looks like a draw but come on Rosie... grow some balls and pick the right team.

    Tufan needs to start
Twine needs to be on the bench and be brought on when we are winning to help him regain his confidence.
Sinik needs to be given at least get 30 minutes off the bench to show what he can do.
Lokilo didn't do enough in the last home game to keep his place.
If Connolly is not injured, he should be starting. If his current drop of form is anything to do with his focus, he should be sat in the stands not on the bench.

It looks to be a confidence/sharpness kind of thing. He looks like he’s overthinking and hesitant a lot of the time, then he makes a mistake and tries too hard to make up for it. So maybe if he can settle down and start being a bit calmer and confident the speed of thought will come and the bad things will go away.

You said you didn’t understand why he wasn’t kept but it’s because he’s not good enough and we didn’t have an option year. Just because the replacement we’ve brought in has underwhelmed, doesn’t mean you were right in saying elder should’ve been offered a new contract.

Connolly attended a family funeral on Wednesday and flew in to Birmingham to be with the team on Wednesday. I am not convinced on him yet, but think you are being a tad harsh there.

Can we send Vinagre back in January ?

I thought he was supposed to be the finished article and not a player who we would have to
spend time developing when he isn't our player

I'm not so sure, yes Tufan technically is better than Docherty, but we miss Slaters energy and Docherty gives you that. Ideally I hope Morton's okay.

I suppose the difference is Twine is a young player and someone we expected to need to grow and adapt to this level having previously only (really) played at League One level. Vinagre has played PL football.
