    Exactly this.

There's still no posts about the tens of thousands of rockets fired from Gaza into Israel since this all began.

What Israel is doing to Gaza and the possible act of pushing the Palestinians into bordering countries, is exactly what the opposite side is actively trying to do to them. The only difference between them is the weapons. Israel have state of the art missiles which nails their targets. Hamas have substandard rockets which have no accuracy and cause very little damage.

None of that is any reason to turn against Israel or pretend that the supposed genocide is only one way. My opinion is, if I'm Hamas, I pick my fights more wisely. I refuse to slam Israel because they're better armed for the battle. That's just tough ****.

    It's a two way street.

    Except it ain’t

under international law, an occupied people have the right to armed resistance

    the occupiers don’t

It this were two neighbouring countries at war, then you’d be right and it would be a two way street. But it isn’t, it’s an occupying force within an existing territory and rules of war apply differently.

What both sides don’t have any right to though is targeting civilians and both Hamas and the IDF are utter ****s for doing so

I'd agree with a lot of that, except for two things.

Firstly that one is the occupying power and breaking international law.

The second is equally important, and there are no easy answers to what I'm about to say. If Hamas are this evil terrorist organisation that DON'T care about their own people AND want the region to turn to ****, then they're firing those rockets into Israel, not because they're effective but precisely because they know that Israel will respond 100 fold. They know Gaza will burn, the homes and cities will turn to rubble, and thousands will die, and all of it will be broadcast worldwide and particularly in the middle-east with the intention of triggering a wider conflict. This is what they want and what they expected.

And the people who will suffer in all of this, regardless of whoever anyone wants to blame will be thousands of innocent Gazans and those hostages.

All it seems to me that the Israelis and the West are doing is playing into Hamas hands and doing what they want.

No easy answers as I've said, but the easiest option (which is what is being chosen right now) is not the wisest.

International Law is not as clean cut on this as you seem to imply in every post on the subject.

What Hamas did is considered an act of Terrorism and acts of Terrorism are not considered armed resistance under international law.

Under THAT provision Israel have the right to retaliate.

Again, my opinion is stop ****ing killing one another and let the medicine and food in for **** sake

Yeah, they're going ****ing nuts and killing so many innocents and have now even committed war crimes.

A right to retaliate probably ends at ending the lives of the people who committed the act, not the folk who are chilling at home eating their dinner.

    It's ****ed.

Hate to sound like you but, it's poor people dying and no one in power gives a **** about that really.

Hamas have a right to resist so ran into a bunch of ****ing communal places with random families and opened fire.

What has any of this violence resulted in?

Israel is still there and Hamas live in ****ing Qatar

I've said this before but will do again.

The real brave people (other than the innocent thousands being killed and injured, and the hostages and their families) are the journalists, the aid workers, and the doctors and nurses.

Many journalists have been killed, some have even had their whole families killed.

    And people like this doctor...
