Good Morning. It's Friday 27th October, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Leeds name their price for Wober

Borussia Monchengladbach have been told, it would take a 'low end double digit' fee to make Max Wober's stay permanent, according to German Sports media outlet 'Kicker'.

The 25yo centre-back only arrived at Elland Road in January. He was only one of a few players in the entire Leeds squad to justify his price-tag last season (£12m), and often stood out in an otherwise uninspiring line-up.

Leeds wanted to build a team around the Austrian International, and even handed him the Captains armband during their pre-season tour of Oslo - little did they know, that two weeks later, he would be gone!

Defecting to Borussia Monchengladbach, was a major body blow to Leeds, especially as Daniel Farke had only just arrived, and was still getting his feet under the table. So far this season, Wober has stood out in an otherwise disappointing season for Gerardo Seoane's team. He sits top of their 'Whoscored' rankings with a respectable score of 7.04.

Wober has just less than four years left on his contract, so it's puzzling why Leeds would opt to break even at best, especially for a player at the top of his game.

Are Leeds doing enough to protect Archie Gray

Rob Price (Leeds Utd's Head of Medicine and Performance) and his team are continuing to keep close tabs on Archie Gray, by testing his physical data every day, for signs of burnout.

Whilst the data is coming back all clear, concern grows on whether its healthy for someone so young to be used to excess. Gray has amassed almost 1500 minutes (1446 to be precise) of game time so far this season (1010 mins in the Championship, 270 mins for England U19's and 166 mins in the League Cup).

One of the reasons why Gray has been switched to right back in recent games is to reduce his work load. Whilst there is logic in this, is the gaffer attempting to force a square peg into a round hole?

According to Farke: “He played against a winger (Andre Vidigal) who has scored many goals already in the season and he calmed him down, like in the last game (against Onel Hernandez),” said Farke. “He adapts a bit to this position and in terms of work load, it’s a bit easier, because he doesn’t cover too much distance in comparison to a midfield role.

“If he played each and every game in a midfield role where he covers 12km or 13km we have to be a bit more careful, but at the moment also the objective data we test every day, it says it is not a problem at all. He’s also a bit younger, it is easier in terms of recovery compared to a 32-year-old player.”

Guess Wober’s suggested fee reflects that we don’t want him back. I’m not sure whether we got a loan fee for him, but even if we didn’t, provided we received the same fee we paid for him, in terms of FFP that’s treated as profit (might not have the terminology correct).

    Morning all

Archie Gray at RB was not calming anything down, he was getting skinned time and time again, he lost the ball far too much, I can’t agree with Farke on that one, but he’s the coach.

Wober on form, perfect age, plenty of contract time left, Kicker told them how much it would take. I’d imagine Kicker are the first ones we’d give that kind of information too. I’d take that one with a pinch of salt

Archie could be a Paul Madley type player in the future but not sure what Farke’s thinking is on this. Byram specialist RB, Ayling specialist RB and on top of that Djed Spence specialist RB when fit. Archie has done great as a DM and AM so far this season. In a couple of weeks we will have Firpo and Spence back so be interesting to see how the back 4 line up and bet it won’t include Cooper or Ayling

Agree with you on that. Farke needs to play Ayling at RB or stop all this talk about extending his contract.

Morning all. Wonder are we gonna get Jekyll or Hyde tomorrow. Suspect somewhere in between with a narrow 1-0 win

Don’t deny that Elland, hopefully we’ll screw as much as we can for any of those that chose to leave. Was just answering how low digit £m’s might seem good business for the club, in this instance. I just can’t see how we can integrate any of them back, and in truth I wouldn’t really want to.

He's chip paper, he don't want to be here then I couldn't give a **** how good he is, or thinks he is

Use the money to twist spurs arm for Rodon. I'd be more than happy with that <ok>

The Peacock pub have boarded up the windows ahead of tomorrow's game,
Not because of any possible crowd trouble, it's just in case Patrick Bamford takes a penalty at the South stand end

The 12 million we paid for Wober might have been including add ons for stopping up etc which we don't have to pay,so maybe we only paid 10 million or less.
