I started off the comments on this game questioning whether Biss should play or not, risking another card and then missing the Chelsea game. On thing I hadn't considered - and the more I read and hear about Ange the more I think it may be relevant - is his anger at the 'dive'. Not only does Ange appear to have a strong moral compass, but he will also view the stupidity of the act in the context of his game plan. He was very measured after the game, highlighting Bissouma's value to the team this season - almost too measured! In short, I have a funny feeling that the ex-Brighton man's way back into the team may take longer than expected. Not today and maybe even not against Chelsea.
Biss or not it’s a risk either way. Clearly too early for Bentancur to start. But if we can give him 20 mins or so tonight and then he has another week+ before Chelsea then maybe he can play a bigger part there. Having Bissouma there when we don’t have Destiny is even more important IMO so I can see why Ange has done it. Hopefully everyone makes it through unscathed.
Vicario with a couple of really good early saves. richarlison, on the other hand, has given the ball away 3 times in his first 3 attempts on the ball. All within 4 minutes.
and just as you say that, and I also pointed out his poor possession, he plays a great pass to Maddison
It's a shame we didn't qualify for Europe this season, because if we did we might get a break from the utter dreck that officiates Premier League matches
