    Vicarage Road Stadium
    Saturday 28th October 2023
    Kick Off : 1500 BST

Watford will be looking for another win to make this a 9 point week as we move from BST after this game, and back into GMT, and the slog through the dark evenings
The Championship is like an incoming tide, as clubs keep moving up the table, then falling back again.
Certainly, awarding Valerien Ismael a new contract raised plenty of eyebrows and comments, but since then Watford have put together a run of a draw and two wins.
While it has not necessarily been pretty, a comeback draw at Cardiff has been followed by 1-0 wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City.

Gary Rowett and Millwall decided that they no longer wished to work together, so for the last two games Adam Barrett has been leading the club. A 1-1 draw at Preston was a fair start, but this was followed by a home defeat against Blackburn. The team under him are not getting too much approval from some fans.

"What last night showed was that any well-drilled team can turn up at the Den and stand a good chance of taking three points. We weren't out played last night, but we were out thought. We need someone to come in with fresh ideas who can get the best out of the players."

Watford should have a bit more confidence after those two wins, but can we expect another wonder goal for the third game in a row?

    Team News

Nothing as yet, but Valerien will have a few decisions to make. Livermore played well in the midfield role as Sierralta dropped back into defence. Will he keep the same starting eleven?

Keith Stroud has been named as the man in the middle as Valerien Ismael’s men go in search of a third consecutive victory when they face Millwall.

The Hampshire official’s previous visit came last month when late goals from Mileta Rajovic and Ryan Andrews’ first in professional football saw Watford beat Birmingham City 2-0.

Craig Taylor and Jonathan Hunt are due to be the assistant referees for the game, with Peter Wright the fourth official.

Coming for my first game since QPR, so assume it will be a repeat of that, right?!

Well according to someone on the WO site young Yaser should be able to cope with any physical tactics having grown up in South America where it's tough and "brutal"

Maybe so in the past but think that is a bit of stereotyping going on there!

The poor lad is only 19 ( I think..) so has a way to go on the physicality department..

TBF have seen him get stuck in too which cannot be said for all our players!

As Luther Blissett pointed out, John Barnes was 17 when he was thrown in at the deep end - and managed quite nicely. He was just a slip of a lad back then.

That looks like a bench with plenty of options.

Dare I say it, but except in goal.

I'm not a fan of Hamer, but I suppose keeping a better keeper happy as a number 2 is a difficult job.
