Was there any truth in that the hunger strikers ‘had’ to continue their strike otherwise the IRA command would have ordered their families to be harmed?

I think this may have been alluded to in a few movies / documentaries etc

Years ago I read an account (ex IRA man - name escapes me ) that said the Prison IRA leaders had a chance to accept a deal that would have stopped the deaths but the IRA command wanted the strikes to continue as to strikers where standing as ‘local’ MPs.

 

The strikers were the leadership in the prison, they just forfeited their role as per the Green Book but they were still the top men making the decisions.

There's a theory that no species will get intelligent enough to find out where we are from as we will use the intelligence to destroy ourselves beforehand.

America has enough weapons to probably obliterate most people on earth yet thousands die there every day due to a lack of healthcare. Poor ****s living in drainage systems etc.

The cuff links are the same, a superpower who spends umpteen trillions on 'defence' yet their citizens are tied to an assembly line for 14 hours a day earning barely enough to feed their families.

The poor in both countries will be 'patriotic' like ****ing mongs happy enough to go to war for the bit of land their mother happened to **** them out on, like they have some sort of stake in the outcome.

The current **** in the middle East is just a distraction for the Yanks, the chinks have been giving Iran the big missiles that can reach Isreal in order to keep America busy protecting Der Juden whilst they eye up the daddy of them all, Tawain.

The Yanks must protect Tawain but would they be upto the scrap? Especially if they're stretched elsewhere I reckon the Chinks will fancy the Yanks will do next to nothing. The Yanks of course couldn't allow themselves to be humiliated like that so it would be show time.

No one really gives a **** about Palestine, it's just used as a sort of proxy war by the bigger players.
